Junk Yard, All You Can Carry $60, What to Grab?

Post by Soul Shinobi »

http://www.hollandusedautoparts.com/

Holland Auto Parts in N. Billerica, MA is having their $60 all you can carry day the 28th. What are good Subaru parts to grab? Anything small someone needs that I can grab for them? What are small items that will fetch a good price used?

I'd love to grab just every god damned thing you guys need, but I only weight 105 pounds so heavy lifting and breaking big bolts free is out of the question. But you you need injectors, ECU, trim, etc... I may be able to help! Not sure what the plan is once I get there, so no promises.

Pic for you guys:

That sounds like a deal I could capitalize on.
I need a non-abs brake master cyl. from a SVX, but they prolly don't have one.

but I only weight 105 pounds

I don't know anybody who weighs only 105 lbs. I think the lightest person I know probably weighs at least 115. That's crazy, how tall are you?

I thought I was small at 6 foot 165.

I'm 5'8" (173cm) and on the brink of death. :p I've always just been very lightweight, at least it's consistent. I'd like to gain 10-15 pounds. I blame LEGOs for my eating habits, you could play with those things for hours, it didn't matter if you had to eat/pee/sleep.

Does anyone need anything light like trim or sensors? I'd go easy on the price I'd ask, we're first gen Legacy bros after all. :-D

Important update! I'm told by someone who was there a week ago that they have several old Legacys!

I personally would carry a spare 5MT or Longblock out. It's actaully amazing how light subaru drivetrain is. I wish somewhere around here would do this.

Id love that... I would bet I could carry at least 2 doors, maybe 4 if I were lucky and they fit together well enough to hang on my arms... and maybe a hood balanced on my head too... wiring harnesses could be carried over the shoulders, and if youre wearing cargo pants, all the nuts, bolts, clips and small electronics you can find would fit in there

Alright, these I did grab.

Along with:
-several intakes
-headlights for my 1992 Legacy
-headlights for my 1998 Legacy
-a rear light bar for my '98
-stock radio for my '92 (mine only puts out bass on right hand turns)
-a brand new alternator
-cup holder tray for my '92
-front and rear sway bars out of a second generation Legacy Outback, which are 20mm and 20mm, while the stock ones in my '98 are 19mm and 16mm front and rear
-auto seatbelt rail for my '92 to cure my blinking seatbelt light
-a cargo net and 3 cargo trays for my '98
-a handful of owners manuals
-all the internal hardware for the rear hatch of my '98 which doesn't open properly (if at all).
-tweeters for my '98
-heated mirrors for my '98
-coil pack and igniter for my '98

The load of stuff from three of us (the others got a bin of VW parts and EJ25 heads and manifold) was carried by two so it cost us $40 each. :-D

I say you get the owners daughter. Girls who work at junkyards are usually pretty consenting. ;)

I didn't think was funny when I read it just after I got up, but now it's hilarious. :-D

Thanks, I didn't think we could pull it off at the time, two guys carrying that and two other people's loads. I was like a kid in a candy store.
