Re: What is this #$%^*&@ noise?!
Funny you should mention that, because my access cover for the TC has been missing for years -I think it just fell off one day, and I never bothered to replace it. In any event, I'm beginning to wonder if something didn't fall in there; perhaps a small rock or something along those lines -it would ...

What is this #$%^*&@ noise?!
First off, a little background: the car is my daily driver -a 90 LS AWD 4eat with 200k (just turned 200k btw).
In any event, a very peculiar, rather unsettling noise has recently began emanating from somewhere suspiciously near the TC. At first I thought it might be a loose cat or something ...

Well, that was thoughtful of them, wasn't it? Sheesh... Personally, I'd be happy to have any blowing defrost, heat, etc. My HVAC control unit gave up the ghost months ago, and now that's it crappy out with snow, sub-freezing arctic temps, and the occasional ice storm, my only salvation has been a ...

If it's doable, and they're in good shape, both font fenders. Color isn't an issue. Additionally, the HVAC control unit (although I recently understand that there may be some issue in harness fitment between the 90-91's and the 92's? I hadn't ever heard of this (I thought the issue was only relevant ...

WTB: 90-94 HVAC control unit & misc body pieces
Hey guys, it's been awhile, but with the winter fast approaching, it's high time I took care of my HVAC unit (NE Ohio winters are not something to experience without a working defroster/heater). That said, I'm in the market for one. Preferably as inexpensively as possible.
Additionally, I'm ...

SUfficiently flustered with a fitment question(strut/spring)
This may have been covered at some point, but despite searching the suspension sticky, I'm still not sure if there's a way to figure out what I'm trying to figure out...
My dilemma: I have a complete set of WRX struts and coilsprings to replace my really, really beat old ones. The trouble? I'm not ...

They're a great investment imho, but you'll need to be creative in so far as how you go about trying to install one -at least on an auto w/ AC.
There is, literally, no place to install it. I bought one (after having invested in others in the past) for my LS AWD n/a and ended up having to return it ...

So I have these brakes...
Okay. Here's the story: friend of a friend buys an Evo. Friend's friend wrecks Evo -like totaled. However, the car has pretty much been cannabalized since said wrecking. I, however, end up with the brakes (the whole set; fronts and backs, master, etc..). Before I try anything crazy, will these fit ...

Woah there...! Pardon my interjection, but I was under the impression that the EJ22's (n/a or turbo) were closed deck configs. Besides, some internals, the turbo and a few other odds and ends I thought both the EJ22 and EJ22T were pretty much the same.
Am I incorrect in assuming they both use the ...

It happens all the time: from start up to shut down. It's not loud, loud... but it's loud enough to be a "damn, what in the Hell is that?" kinda sound.
brat4x4 and I could'nt point either of our respective fingers at it; I thought a water pump failure maybe... either way, I think it's bad.

For the Zen masters among us?
What is the sound of a failing main bearing? A koan, submitted for your approval.
I've lately experienced a disconcerting "noisy engine" sound that's got me really worried.
It's essentially a metallic knocking, combined with a pinging sort of sound.
However, it's not rpm related, nor has it effected ...
