Not sure...it's whatever color red the MY90 came in. According to the Cars 101 archives, Rio Red is the only color red on the list. There's no Mica flakes in the paint so I'd assume it's Rio.

The question isn't "is it too low", it's "is the rear too low compared to the front". Look at the pic. The rear tires are inside the fenders while the fronts have 1.5" of gap. Putting GC8 springs onto a Legacy Wagon will result in an uneven drop and sketchy handling.
Chassis: MY90 FWD Legacy L Wagon Struts: KYB GR2 MY92 FWD Legacy Wagon Springs: Whiteline Impreza Sedan Strut Top Mounts: Impreza Sedan  So I posted a while ago about suspension options for the MY90 Legacy L wagon. Since the car was free and I had a garage full of spare suspension bits from va...
Depending on the swap details, you might be put in a different class, but by no means does it put you in any soft of Prepared class. Depends on your club. By SCCA rules, a swap bumps you out of stock. If the motor is an update or backdate, you can run STS (Street Touring), a class that was created ...
By the letter of the law, if the rules state that a particular mod puts you into a prepared class, then you're in prepared class even if it's the only mod on your car. This usually adds insult to injury, for example getting bumped to modified class in rallycross for adding a cone filter that's usele...
Awww, yeah! Sweet photos...always nice to see oldschool Scoobies getting romped on! The Legacy is the daily driver, but I thrash around in this rig: http://www.onalimbracing.com/albums/2003vtcarrallyx/IMG_0704_001.sized.jpg http://www.trunkmonkey.com/Scrapbook/Gallery/20040208-BMWCCA-Ice_Race_02/IMG...
Well, one of the Trunkmonkey guys will be pulling the AGX/5Zigen setup off his 2.5 RS and replacing it with the STi Gymkhana kit, so he'll be tossing the 5Zigen springs my way. I'm a little leery of them, but I figure I'll try them out. So I'll be getting new MY92 FWD KYB GR-2 struts and GC8 STi str...
So, what's a BJ6, then? I have an MY90 5MT/FWD Legacy L Wagon. Is it kind of like the GC8 Impreza, which doesn't exist on our side of the pond, but everyone calls it a GC8 anyway?
Yeah, I generally stick to NESIC and just do searches. Again, you guys rule, and I've added all your info to my original post. Hopefully that will help out other gimps in the same situation that I'm in.
The newer struts should work. The 93 Legacy has the non-tapered springs, I believe that's the only difference. I don't see how the struts would differ. Tirerack makes no sense, the struts didn't change just the springs. get em from a 92-94 legacy they're 58 bucks Sweet. I can justify $58 per strut ...
Hmm, almost sounds like starting with new vehicle is the better choice. AWD legacy are pretty common. Well, that's the kicker. I've been daily driving my rally car for over a year, and my Gram gave her Legacy for free as a daily driver. So, the Legacy isn't a project car...I just want her to handle...
OK, then how about using MY93 rear suspension bits instead of MY90 rear suspension bits? On TireRack, MY93 rear FWD wagon KYB GR-2 struts are $58, while MY90 rear FWD wagon KYB GR-2 struts are over $100. Will that then allow me to use the Impreza springs and strut mounts I already have hanging around?
I know the hub carriers are different - the fwd strut bolts in the way of where the driveshaft would go. Well...that certainly puts a damper on things. Ha, I kill me! Hrm...my guess was that the AWD struts were different to make up for the extra weight of the rear diff. If they actually bolt up dif...
OK, I've been searching and researching for about a week now, and I'm finally stumped enough to ask. I just picked up an MY90 FWD/5MT Legacy 2.2 Wagon and the struts are totally blown. I'm looking for a free performance upgrade and I was thinking about an Impreza conversion because I have lots of sp...
sorry, I meant red car with gold wheels ;) i dunno, it doesn't look ugly, just not as good as other colors. At anyrate if/when you gewt em, post them up :) Oh, yup, I meant gold on red as well. I was just saying that gold on black looks awesome while I still have reservations about gold on red. But...
in most pics it doesn't look that grand, but i've never seen in irl, I plan on getting some 98 rs wheels so we'll find out if you dont first :) The gold P7s look sick on a black Legacy Turbo sedan. IggDawg, one of my crew guys, had the P7s on his and it looked amazing. They also didn't look too bad...
Sean - do you plan on a seperate set of tires for winter, because the Azenis will be terrible in the snow. Good to see another MA guy on board. Yup, I'm a Masshole. :D For shoes, I have to choose between the 14" steelies with no seasons that came on the car, 15" steelies with Bridgestone ...
