mm, speed sensor. I doubt this would be it as this is the 3rd boat i have with a car ecu and it hasnt been an issue with them. Unless something is different with the sti engine, but i cant see how it would be any different. And the knock sensor, well i could try and disconnect it i suppose and see i...

My engine is going into some sort of failsafe mode. why??
I have this sti engine in my boat with the car ecu wiring etc so really it should be just the same as a car. Every now and then it goes weird and im presuming its some sort of 'get home' mode. It wont let the revs come up anymore than about 1500rpm and then it cuts back to idle revs. Its hard to exp...

I have a v2 sti engine in a jet boat. I am able to use avgas which is 100 octane as i have a bit to do with flying. Is there an issue here at all with the engine running too rich?? I hear the lead can make the o2 sensor read funny?? Keen for any tips. Def makes it go harder tho. smells nice too! Wha...

Will Sti ecu make my rs legacy go any better
I have a 1990 single turbo quadcam engine in my jet boat. It is standard out of an RS Legacy. (jap import) Ive bought a 94 wrx sti ecu and plan to swap it with the rs one. It has the same plugs (4 plug) I realise the boost cut is higher but this makes no diff as i have an after market boost controll...

I have got a 94 twin turbo engine on the way that has...

Do the 2 uppipes need to be same lenth on twin scrol (VF37
Have a wrx engine in my jet boat with an after market exhaust manifold. It has the exhaust from each head in a separate pipe and they meet up at the turbo so was hoping this would suit the vf37, but was wondering if the legnth of each pipe has to be the same coz the one on the turbo side of the engi...

Ur engines must be different. Coz thats def not the case here as the rs engine is closed block as opposed to oppened deck on the sti.
And im sure the sti engine has forged pistons etc and know for sure they have differnt heads etc??
Classic that u were born in NZ!!
