Missing on one cylinder

Post by rwcoop »

I have a suby engine in a jet boat and its doing something really strange. I started her up for the first time the other day and its missing on one of the cylinders.
Bloody weird coz theres spark there and the injector is working coz i stuck my ear against it and could hear it ticking, but when u take the spark plug out its dry as. (Not getting fuel??)
I changed the injector anyway and still the same.
I put another engine in and still the bloody same although i dud reuse the old inlet manifold.
Im guessing its from when it was wired up something was done wrong, but just seems strange that i can hear the injector ticking. Any suggestions.
And yes it does have compression

Have you tried unplugging the injector while the engine is running? Does how the engine run change at all?

Like you said...I'd suspect you've got a wiring problem.
