Re: Radiator end tank cracked!

So I just did the same radiator replacement as RhinO. The radiator shipped to me within two days (for $125), and it took me about 1-1.5 hours to change out the radiator. There really weren't any issues, it was very straightforward. While I was in the engine bay, I noticed the valve covers were reall...

Re: Radiator end tank cracked!

I need to replace my radiator too. Koyo lists the A1434 and C1434 for my car (non-turbo MT). Is the A1434 aluminum and the C1434 copper?

Where is a good place to buy one of these online?

Welcome to the club :-D

Bikes are addictive. I love my Speed Four. If this is your first motorcycle experience, definitely take the MSF course and get proper gear. On a bike, it doesn't take much of a mistake to put the hurt on you.

Can someone post up pics of the MT linkage bushings and the centering spring? (on the car...not on a table) Please. I will need to do all the above on my 91 BJ and would love to have some knowledge going in. Does kartboy make bushings for the 91 BJ without any conversions? Try my thread, there may ...

Dammit! Two of the bushings fit fine (the ones that fit the vertical bolt) but the other two (for the horizontal bolt) aren't even close. Both the inner diameter and the outer diameter are too big. Does anyone have the correct part numbers? For future reference, I think the part numbers for ...

that stuff will be pretty milky because the pigment is so large. We used to get the pigment itself raw where I used to work, really cool stuff in the dry form. incredible glow power. you could dust it on to surfaces hit with spray glue for a truly potent glow $30 a pound even at the wholesale level...

I'm driving my N/A '93 FWD Sedan 5-speed and getting 28-29 city and around 35-36 on the freeway. Sounds like I'm doing good. I just calculated what I got on my last tank with the exact same model - 23 mpg, with about 200 miles on the highway. I'll see what it comes out to now that I've removed the ...

Got my bushings today. For future reference, the part numbers are:

Bush Rod F
35035AA030

$10 a piece!

I'll install over the weekend and see if it fixes my problem.

$17, yes, but 40mpg when I spend 75% of the time above 8,000 RPM isn't bad. If I lug it a gear high, I get 50mpg mostly city. I dig it. I actually just got my girlfriend a helmet so we could ride places on short trips to save gas. It's also better parking at school (own bike lot), and at work it's ...

I can think of a few reasons my mileage is lower than LaurelTheQueens. (1) Wind resistance from the roof-rack. It's got a wind deflector and bike tray on top of it too. Although around town I wouldn't have thought the hit would be too bad. (2) I live in Texas, and have to run the A/C almost all the ...

No, never tried. I guess I will do that soon.

What's normal around town? I always thought 22 was pretty decent.

How do you possibly get 22 mpg around town in an NA wagon? I had a 91 NA wagon w/ an automatic transmission, that I drove like a prick and consistently got 26mpg. I can personally attest to the fact that I never once replaced the sparkplugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter or anything for at least 4...

I'm going to be moving down to Houston in a month or two, and giving up my ~15 mile daily commute in exchange for about ~70 mile commute. One day a week I'll be doing a 180 mile commute. So that's over 450 miles of commuting a week. I'm going to pull off my roof-rack and rear seat, probably the trai...

Yeah, it's definitely a scam. I've heard of other people getting ripped off because they couldn't believe how great a deal they found - free shipping was the common denominator.

If you get a 600cc sportbike, you'll probably save a lot of money on gas, but probably spend a lot more on tires.

Looking ahead to the shifter rod bushings: it doesn't look that bad to me :?: Maybe it's because it's just a FWD car. It looks like I can just remove the nuts and bolts surrounding the bushings, and change them out without removing the roll pins. http://img288.imageshack.us/img288/2365/img00660yl.th...

Well, my shifter rod bushings hadn't arrived yet, but my Kartboy front and rear bushings for the stay rod did, so I went to work putting those in. Jacked up the car, put it onto jack stands, and started with the front bushing. It was pretty easy to loosen this end of the stay rod, just unscrewed a 1...

I bought shifter bushings from Kartboy for the stay rod so far. Tomorrow I'll be ordering bushings for the shifter rod. I checked the prices with the nearest Subaru dealer, they want $10 for each of the 02350800(3) pieces (there are four to replace) and $20 for the 35035A pieces (two to replace)! I'...

Transmission noise

I've been driving my '93 Subaru 5-speed (~92,000 miles) a lot lately because I'm moving. I noticed that there is a loud rattling noise when I'm in 2nd or 3rd gear and accelerating (around 3,000 rpm or above). If I put my hand of the shifter and push it to the side, the rattling stops or becomes quie...

evolutionmovement - you were right! On both sides, the backing plate was a little to close to the rotor, and I could see the scoring on the metal. Prying both sides a little bit away solved the problem. Cost = zero dollars.

Thanks!
