If it were that easy. I have a tranny here that would work but the cost for the rest of the conversion would not be worth it at this moment.

So whats the reason why one cant use this standalone with an auto????

Very good info!! Thanks Matt. I will definitely look into picking up some DOHC heads and do the valvetrain and cam upgrade on those. For the time being I will just port and polish the SOHC heads. Right now I am more or less looking to stay within some sort of budget just to get the car running again...

Yeah that is what I figured. The 2.2T is pretty undestructable from what I have been told by Ron @ Axis. I cant wait to push some serious boost through this motor.

Yeah a buddy of mine is going to do the port and polish on the heads so that wont cost me much. I will also send them to a head shop and have the clean up what he does and then have them plained and checked for cracks. I will also port match the header and intake manifolds as well. I am not however ...

Engine Rebuild

Well I just purchased my '91 Legacy Turbo that was said to "run great." Well it runs far from great. So I will pull the motor out probably Monday and get started on fixing all the problems it has. The main problem it has is a blown headgasket or warped head, not sure which until I get the ...

Also, what fuel pressure to the Nissans run at? They may run a higher pressure as well...... The fuel pressure of the car does not matter. What does matter is the pressure the injectors are tested at to give said Injector CC's. Take a look at some of the injector flow charts people have posted from...

The 2.2T block itself can handle up to 30psi in stock form no problem (Ron @ Axis Power Racing confirmed this). But the high milage can definitely weaken parts therefore making it less reliable. If you want it to last then rebuild it, but if you are one for pushing the limits then go for it.

Hmm... Ok so I need a new FPR. I can handle that. But I am not running JDM injectors, I am planning to run the USDM STi type yellow top injectors. The '05 Legacy GT turbo, Forester XT, Outback XT, and STi all run the same yellow top side feed injectors. They are "said" to be rated at 550cc...

Will STi injectors work?

Ok, so I am fairly new to the forum. I just purchased a '91 Legacy Turbo sedan. I have been considering a few different paths for mods already, as I have done with every Subaru I have owned. I was considering injectors when the other day I thought about the USDM STi yellow top injectors. I have an '...
