boots replacement...

If you are just changing out the boots you can just dab a bit of paint where the threads begin so after you replace the boots the ends can be screwed back to there orignal place. a alignement would still be a good idea, no matter if you replace the boots or the entire rack....

ball joint replace...

I just changed the axle out on my 93 and noticed the ball joint boot was pretty chewed up (passenger side) so decided to go ahead and order a new one (seems prudent for a car with 180K miles). The tapered bolt should now exit easily, but I will have to now loosen the bolt above that I guess actually...

I noticed this was posted in the BC-BF forums so I figure that you are using the springs shocks , hats etc from a WRX in a older Legacy (that is 90-94). Is this a straight up swap? If not what problems did you encounter in using these peices in the older sub, also I don't believe you mentioned if th...

I have a 93 Legacy wagon and this weekend driving on a hot day noticed that on full blast it was not really keeping up (lame as you put it). I think once it starts cooling off I will see how maybe I may be able to add a cabin filter around the input (even if it has to come from another make) in orde...

It is apparent to me that it is either the gauge itself that does this or the sender in the tank that must be sticking, or not responding properly. I also wonder if anyone knows where I can get a replacement key for this car? thanks

I have a 93 Legacy that has that erratic gas guage problem. I am not sure if the light is still good as when I have filled it up there must still be quite a bit of gas left. I know in filling it up it goes to near 3/4 of a tank then creeps up to the full mark where it will be most of the time until ...

I do appreciate all the comments I have received, yeah I do have a torn boot and thought of replacing that axle right away (front passenger side) and was adviced to let it go until it starts making noise. On the oil I guess the synthetic must be more slippery, since I don't see that the same grade o...

A little bit of this and a little bit of that.....

I have had a 93 Legacy wagon now for 4 months and am coming on to doing an oil change. The car now has 178,000 miles on it (175,000) when I got it and am surprised it has not used any oil since I purchased it. The person I bought it from must have just changed it, it was clean then and I have been i...

replacement liftgates...

I was wondering if all of the liftgates from 90 to 94 are the same and can be used to replace a rusted one. The liftgate on my 93 wagon is in sorry shape around the license frame and think that perhaps replacing it completely would be the way to go. I have the plastic reflector across the gate and h...

Iron it sounds as if you can pull each tooth out one at a time making sure you label them as to the way they came out. It could be that all locks use the same teeth, just in a different order. If that is the case then perhaps just re-installing them according to the size of the old lock should get y...

The exact wheels...

jamal's wheels are the type I am looking for, hope I can find some around that price locally in the Los Angeles area. I asked about the rotor's since I have noticed that they have (2) different size's listed for 14 inch wheels and 15 (or bigger) inch wheels all though I don't think that the mating s...

16 inch wheels subject matter, or WRX wheels on a 93 Legacy.

I have a 93 AWD wagon and I am thinking of getting the 16 WRX wheels for it. I realize that perhaps it may be to much of a tire for it but they sure sell a lot of these wheel combos and for the price I guess it is as cheap as buying 4 tires for the original 14 inch rims. The bolt pattern is the same...
