Stock RS tires are 205/55-16, which i'm runnin now. I have eibach springs and looks pretty nice. I've seen 205/50-16 which looks pretty sweet on a RS with coilovers. If your car isn't lowered enough, i would think 205/50-16 would look kinda odd cuz its a smaller sidewall.

For n/a engines, it's trickier, you don't really want back pressure, but in order to reduce back pressure you increase exhaust pipe diameter, and therefore reduce velocity, which reduces/inhibits the effectiveness of exhaust pulses aiding in exhaust scavenging. So for n/a engines, I would say there...

I completely agree with everything you said, but what you said also adds to what im tryin to say perfectly. Your engine from subaru was designed with certain parameters, and with those parameters the engine can only go so fast (rpm's/power/etc) like what i said before about tolerances. So based off ...

If you have a stock engine, especially if it has alot of miles, nothing rebuild, low tolerances and all that and you have no back pressure there's nothing to keep it from reving much higher than it was built for. This will then allow for parts to wear heavily and will start to come apart and now com...

The tires are in pretty good shape to get you goin. They'll def hold for ya, from what i hear they're amazing and "sticky" in dry weather, awesome in the rain, but COMPLETELY useless in the snow. sh**, for the price of the 2 new ones, maybe you should get all 4... but i'll def give you wha...

I'm running a VERY free flowing exhaust, and have been for more than 15,000 miles, and I STILL make more power than most stage2 WRX's. And I still see a TON of hondas with shitty exhausts. you have a turbo? then there's all your back pressure right there, and there you'd be right, it just directs w...

Well i have those sumitomo's but they're stictly street, you wouldn't be able to rally in 'em. Plus you'd have to buy 2 more, $154.91 shipped from tirerack (for us). they're HTR ZII 205/50-16. $58 for balancing and stem at town fair tire, free mounting. unless you want my 'all weather' bridgestones :P

On a stock engine, no muffler means practically no back pressure which in the not too distant future will be real bad for the engine. Remember the crap ass honda's from like 4 years ago where all they did was put a HUGE muffler on the stock exhaust and an intake and they thought they were the sh** c...

I know they use propane on indoor-running engines like concrete trowels and forklifts, etc I've done it. I've taken a gas engine, taken off the gas tank and added propane system to it. It doesnt have a significant performance difference from gas, but the exhaust is carbon dioxide instead of carbon m...

Yea, GR-2's can handle the drop. And they have a 15% dampening increase from stock, which from what i read is the same as #2 setting on AGX's, which alot of impreza drivers set for the fronts.

I have GR-2's and Eibach pro kit for cost and performance increase, and am very happy with it.

I just put Eibach Pro kit springs, KYB GR-2, and STi Group N top mounts on my impreza. For my needs, which is just a nice non race-ready performance daily driver, it's perfect. I've heard alot of people say it's too soft for them and not enough drop. It is little bumpy at first, but i replaced shot ...
