Rading the FSM, I discovered that some MPFI models were sold cattless and have no oxygen sensors. They have no autotune functionality in the ECU or it is disabled and are supposed to have an idle Air to fuel ratio adjustment potentiometer which I don't know where is located.

So, I was rewiring my alarm system and found a 3 pole flat female connector wich I don't know what it is for.
there is also nearby and coming from the same cable pack another lonely black cable whith a nude male pin which happens to be ground.

My dad keeps telling me the legacy has no cat nor oxygen sensor from factory.
I know for sure it has no cat because it used to run on leaded gas. but is it possible it has no o2 sensor?. I have tried to locate the sensor but the haynes manual diagram has not helped very much.

I have a LW flywheel in my Impreza and ive known people with both LW flywheels and LW crankpulleys and no idle problems.


I have completely stock NA wich idles erratically sometimes after starting the engine.
This may discard LW flyw & crankp as the cause.
I have not tried AC button.
