Never mind, I figured it out. Thanks google. :)

Those prices aren't so bad. My preference would be the 2 month shipping or the priority snail mail due to the price. I can wait for the package as long as it doesn't cost so much.

yes it is the euro

you can use a currency converter (will be aproximated because banks will have a comission)

http://www.xe.com/ucc/

currently Euro is stronger than $ so expect higher numbers in $

So are you wanting to sell those lights through ebay or are you willing to do it directly?

Well, I don't really know what to do
For the moment I just have a set of 91 prefacelift available and those are rare here (there are less than 6 legacy in my 250.000 people city )
I think that if there is more than one interested, an ebay auction is more suitable to be fair with every one.
Also ebay gives us all certain security about transactions (although it costs me money 5% of sale price)

I have been checking ebay prices and they are about 110-139$ per headlamp for USDM. So I calculate to put the starting price lower than 110 * 2 headlamps =220
Starting bid about 175$.

Shall you have an idea to do this other than ebay, just tell

Well it really depends on what you want to do. If you don't want a set price, but to have a starting price and see how much you can get for it, then an auction is probably a good idea. It's really up to you.

Here are prices in US$, but those are orientative only as converted by the www.xe.com currency calculator. My prices are in Euros so if the bank charges a commision to pay it will be charged to you obviously as I get charged when I do the other way.

If there is more than one interested I will put an ad on ebay.
The starting bid will be 150€ aprox 176$

then you have to add packaging and your preferred shipping method.
Alvaro Alonso wrote:Shipping and handling are as follows asuming a 5kg package

Packaging: 27€ (aprox 31,78$) as offered by Mail boxes etc.
Spanish postal company:
Standard snail mail 2 months, lost insurance_29,50€ aprox 34,77$
Priority snail mail 20 days lost insurance____53,50€ aprox 63,05$
Express snail mail ____________________193,13€+1%package value for insurance aprox 227,65$

UPS through Mail boxes etc.:
Standard ________175€ aprox 206,28$
Express 2 days ___182,56€ aprox 215,19$

I am planning to put an ad on ebay (it will cost me some $) to be able to get paid with paypal and follow a well known and reputated selling process with all the guarantees of ebay.

What do you think?

Hi all,
Finally I got pictures. Here are the pics

And back

The spare connector is the one used for automatic heigth adjust.
There is a grille clip missing in one of the headlights, but I have some spare in the toolbox.
What I don't have are the nuts, but as long as you have your headlamps screwed into your car, you have a set of them

SVX

Post by Alvaro Alonso »

Are there more than one version of the SVX as in the legacy preface-postface?

I have never seen any SVX here, but I will try calling Madrid.
As a desperate measure I could ask also for new ones at the dealer but they ask me for the chassis number.

To get an idea, for the legacy:
Left headlight 84004aa050 222,87€ (I think those are post facelift)
Left headlight 84004aa090/91 416,26€ (this was for my pre facelift)

The SVX headlights remained unchanged from '92-'97 USDM. I'm trying to get new ones from Germany, but I wouldn't mind used ones.

Yes, I think I can find 92-94 easyly, and for the new SVX ones I think I can get them just asking at the dealer If you want to pay for them.

I wouldn't have a problem paying for them. I work at a Subaru dealership in the U.S. Subaru dealers here sell parts to employees at cost +10%. So I'm trying to work a similar deal with the dealership in Germany, but I don't think it's going to work out.

If you can give me the email address of the dealership in Madrid, maybe they wouldn't mind helping a fellow Subaru employee out.

Thank's

Well, I contacted subaru parts central at Madrid, and asked them about the possibility to get cost+10% or an email address. Answer was plain no, different markets different rules.
I also tried to get prices for SVX but I need a VIN number, but not yours as it will mach with EEUU parts and they would ask subaru USA to sen the parts :(

I have tried to contact a SVX owner to do me the favour of asking the part number of headlights, but no luck still.

No problem. Thanks for the help. I guess I'll just have to really save some money for them if I can't get a better deal. Thank you for going to so much trouble. Matt

Don't the german SVX's not use the foglight portion of the headlight, or doesn't that matter?

I have no idea. I just saw pics of SVX's with glass headlights on subaru-svx.org, and I thought I want them. I don't know about the fog light thing.

Road Trip

Post by Alvaro Alonso »

I need a new steering rack and I'm going to get it to Madrid the same place where I can probably get more Glass Headlights.

EDIT: I will go tomorrow 01/10/06 or the next.

Shipping and handling as mentioned on earlier posts. I think I will be able to sell them for 180€ per set. (the previous 150€ set was a local deal)

Yes, -1 feedback, waiting for georryan positive feedback as soon as he gets his headlights.
By the way, the two negative feddbacks are due to unclear product specification from the seller and even one of them rejecting to get paid!!!!!! ( I won the bid for 1$ ).
