The person that bought it is from the UK, so I imagine it's a little hard for them to find any local EJ22T bits. The seller did have worldwide shipping, which probably made all the difference in this case. That's the only reason I can think of for dropping that kind of money on a shortblock. Stupid ...

The article was pretty good- it provided a nice overview on the Japanese Turbo EJ20's from their inception (1989) to about 2002. You'll definately need a unit converter to make sense of the numbers though.

If a auto legacy weighed 300lbs more than a manual, that would mean that the auto trans weighs about 400+ pounds. Clearly not true. An auto trans will shift quicker than you can. Not all of them can. I would say our 4EATs shift at an average speed- not too fast and bone-jarring, but not that slow. erm, it's actually http://www.deltacam.com/. This actually sounds like a nice deal, but I think I should do all the regular maintenance on my car before I start thinking about performance upgrades.
