The person that bought it is from the UK, so I imagine it's a little hard for them to find any local EJ22T bits. The seller did have worldwide shipping, which probably made all the difference in this case. That's the only reason I can think of for dropping that kind of money on a shortblock. Stupid ...

The article was pretty good- it provided a nice overview on the Japanese Turbo EJ20's from their inception (1989) to about 2002. You'll definately need a unit converter to make sense of the numbers though.

I'd post up the text of the article, but I'm not sure about the legality of it. :?

Man, you guys are lucky. I haven't seen any SS's or Touring Wagons, although I've seen plenty of "regular" Legacies around my college. None of them look as well preserved as mine though- most of them have patches of rust on them or extremely faded paint jobs. Ah, the joys of living in the ...

Out of curiosity, why won't any of those eBay keys work for '90 Legacies?

If a auto legacy weighed 300lbs more than a manual, that would mean that the auto trans weighs about 400+ pounds. Clearly not true. The stock manual trans also makes it pretty hard to shift fast For some reason I thought it weighed that much. Maybe that was the weight difference between the sedan a...

An auto trans will shift quicker than you can. Not all of them can. I would say our 4EATs shift at an average speed- not too fast and bone-jarring, but not that slow. There are people who can shift a manual faster than the 4EAT, that's for sure. Nowadays, though, with more modern cars, the gap is c...

erm, it's actually http://www.deltacam.com/. This actually sounds like a nice deal, but I think I should do all the regular maintenance on my car before I start thinking about performance upgrades.

Bad side - hot buns when parked in the sun. It also sucks bad in the cold- it takes forever to heat up. Good side? Let me know. It's definately not as "slick" as leather. I've driven a lot in a Audi A4 with a leather interior, and I have never wanted to take that car to its limit because ...
