Re: Random Check Engine Light
So, I replaced the coolant temp sensor like you said and cleared the codes, and haven't had any check engine lights or issues for 2 months now. Thanks for the advice.

Re: Close touch up paint to 1994 Teal Metallic?
Thanks Josh, but I needed it yesterday so I ended up going to the parts store and finding the closest thing I could find, which was Bright Aqua Metallic. Turned out to be a little brighter than the stock color, but it works well for my crappy job of body repair.

Close touch up paint to 1994 Teal Metallic?
Just patched in a few pieces of metal to my 94 Legacy L Wagon's rear hatch. It is all primed up and now I just need some paint. Nobody local has a matching Subaru touch up paint on the shelf. Is there anything more common like a chrysler or GM paint that is very close to the Subaru Teal Metallic #28...

Re: Random Check Engine Light
The instant the CEL turns on sometimes, the car hesitates or bucks for just a moment. Other than that, no symptoms really.Legacy777 wrote:What symptoms are you experiencing besides just the CEL coming on?
If you have known issues with the coolant temp sensor, I'd start there.

Random Check Engine Light
So every once-in-a-while, my check engine light on my 94 wagon will kick on and then a second or two later, kicks off, sometimes it happens when I'm going around corners. It seems to be more prevalent when the engine is cold. Two things seem to happen when it does it. I can feel a noticable "bu...

Re: How low can you go? water temps
I would go stock. I never go more than 5 degrees or so below the stock thermostat temp on a fuel-injected vehicle.

Re: Flooding While Starting. Ideas?
Update! I replaced my fuel pressure regulator with one I had laying around, and it hasn't flooded since. That was about 2 months ago now.

Re: Flooding While Starting. Ideas?
I've got an intake off of a 97 2.5 DOHC with injectors in it. I wouldn't be lucky enough to be able to use those injectors would I? Are 2.5 injectors the same as 2.2 injectors?

* RESOLVED* Flooding While Starting. Ideas?
***I changed out my fuel pressure regulator and it solved the flooding issue.*** 've got a 5spd AWD 94 Legacy Wagon 2.2 non-turbo. I have been having weird starting issues over the last few months. Occasionally, when I go to start it, it floods out and won't start. I can feel the engine acting like ...

Oil Leaking From Front of Engine. Crank Seal?
So, there is oil leaking out of the front of my engine, looks like from under the timing belt cover. I'm guessing that it is the crank seal leaking a bit. How hard is the front seal to replace? Can I do it without pulling the engine?

No Power steering!
So I started up the car the other day and had no power steering. I get out and one of the metal lines underneath the rack had a hole in it and was leaking badly. So I drove it back to its parking spot in the driveway. Does anyone know where i can get the lines that go underneath the rack? Also, I wa...

WTB: Timing belt cover and Wagon Tail light
I need a timing belt cover (both sides) for my EJ22 and a driver's side tail light for my 1990 wagon. Let me know what you have. I'll need the timing belt cover as soon as possible. Thanks, Paul

Looking at buying a Legacy
Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying a '92 legacy wagon for around $400. It's an automatic, and the tranny supposedly doesn't shift out of first gear. Would you guys recommend picking this up? Where can I get a tranny for this and how much would I be looking at to spend? I really want a 5speed, but t...
