Relay is clicking.
Do you know what causes the 3.5 to 12 volt action?
Hot wire is working fine.

Not getting 12 volts to fuel pump.
So when you turn key on, you should get 12 colts for a second to prime fuel system. Then the voltage drops to 3.5ish and sits there till car is started and the voltage is turned back on to 12. Mine has decided to not do the 12 part and just sits at 3.5. The relay is clicking when key is turned off a...

Something smoked and now 1993 turbo wagon wont run.....
Was accelerating and something smoked down in the ECU area and engine shut off. Turns over fine. I pulled the ECU and opened it up and using magnifying glass can find ZERO evidence of burn on the board. Any ideas of what could have smoked that would cause engine to not start? I need to button wiring...

I think you have something unplugged. The temp gauge climbing all the way up is a symptom of something not plugged in,.

Guy turns his vacation from Utah to LA into a 35 minute top gear episode. Not great, but still gets a few laughs... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV0hY0za9xU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMCX-fRlM5M&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmRlQOk44AU&feature=rel...

Re: Spun sleeve?
OK, this is my take on the spun sleeves....... Happens at the factory!!!! Think about it.... Block is being bored, sleeve spins a bit.... Are they going to through it out? NO!!!! You can totally assemble a block with a spun sleeve, you just drop the piston in with the rod, then bolt the rod to the c...

Re: Good piggy back engine management
I have only managed
430 whp/torque........
out of the PP6
Therefore.... it must suck.
While my motors blow up, it has NOTHING to do with the PP6. I also pretty much have the fastest old Legacies in the US.
The PP6 works.

Re: Perfect Power maps for 22t?
A base map is a blank map that simply allows the PP6 to let the engine run. The base map somewhat depends upon the wiring of the PP6 (the global settings)..... Do you have the bypass plug? If the PP6 is wired correctly, then you can use the bypass plug and run the stock ECU, no PP6. This GENERALLY s...

Re: EJ257 Rods on EJ22T crank
They work fine, they are the same length. Same bearings.
It is only if you "stroke" the block by using the 2.5 crank (79mm versus 75mm) that you would need different pistons.

Ran 12.387 @ 116.5 before spewing ALL my coolant out the tailpipe as well as splitting the passenger side heater hose all OVER the up and down pipes! They thought I was on fire!
There is a chance of serious blown out headgasket, but doubtful....

Try a "helper" spring on the wastegate. Sometimes the wastegate blows open when it should not... That was my issue....

I am making close to 500 whp on the PerfectPower6.....
While its not dyno documented.....I did hit 432 @ 21psi ish.... and now that my wastegate is "fixed", I have been hitting a solid 25psi... And am able to add as much fuel as needed (nice to have that 5th injector!)

Josh, did you ever see the daily wagon? Can't remember? Added a helper spring..... It frigging helps! 20 plus psi in 2nd! 25psi in 3rd! OVER 25 in 4th..... We are talking 500 whp territory now.... Uh..... Tranny may be making whining sounds.... Time to retune and hope the whining sound is either low...

Re: Just ANOTHER 1990 Legacy turbo conversion.... hahahahah
Boost will not hold on the drag strip. Not sure why, but now suspecting wastegate is fluttering. Basically pulled the wastegate line and still can't hit over 22 psi and then it tapers down to 17ish... On the freeway in 5th, I can hit 25 psi and it holds steady..... That by the way is probably 500whp...

Got new better times Saturday night at PIR. 12.456 @ 116.77 mph and 12.446 @ 115.97 Then today I pulled a 12.51 @ 101 mph which WOULD have been my best but I had to brake hard to avoid breaking out while bracket racing.... I still broke out. then did a 12.98 @ 117.23.... Wagon is tuned to hit close ...
