The too cast pieces that bolt to the intercooler are further apart on the 06 than the 03. I havn't had the chance to measure the distance, but I'm gonna throw it out there that it is different.

I have heard that the impreza ecu does not have the timing issues we have with the safc II. you should be able to add the fuel you need, without a band-aid like a rrfpr.
