You, sir, have some great eyes. I can't believe I didn't notice the bottom section had a different finish. Took a couple tries to get the bottom to turn, but now the knob is off, and I'm happy!

Thanks!

SLODRIVE wrote:It's hard to tell from that pic (nice clean interior btw :-)), but that knob looks a lot like an old Mono knob I have here. The collar on the bottom of the knob unscrews to reveal three set screws. Maybe?
I'll give it a look... and take a better photo.

How should I remove my Sparco shifter knob?

It's pretty stuck on there. I've tried using jar openers, belts (for pants), and strong friends. And none of them have helped to get it off. You can see it in this photo: http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v530/163/84/1449810007/n1449810007_30115639_8389.jpg I'm out of ideas apart from just...

The 8mm set I ordered seems to fit on the coil just fine. I had mine custom built, though, so I'm not entirely sure if it's the same as what you guys are running.

$250 is pretty skimpy for what it sounds like you want to do. By no means am I an expert, but finding 4 or 5 speakers and an amp for that budget is going to be tough. The best bang-for-buck amps I've come across are actually headphone amps... they're good for 2.0 setups, but for powering 5 speakers....

That's REALLY good news. Because I'll probably end up going this route soon after my EJ20G swap is finished. Thanks for this!

I imagine results won't be too terribly different running this on an EJ20G with all of the same modifications?

I'd be interested in one of the starters. There's no difference between automatic and manual transmission starters, is there?

I'm sure that you can fabricate an adapter bracket for the wastegate actuator. I wonder if you can order just the modified actuator from Deadbolt? I actually emailed Deadbolt about an actuator when I was still looking for a replacement... but didn't get any response. Perhaps it would have been bett...

http://www.boostplanet.com/product2.htm I wish... haha. I don't mind having a rotated inlet also, if that's what you're asking, BSOD. In fact, it'd help airflow only having to run a 45* elbow off of the inlet, right? I'm mainly worried about my intercooler piping with the outlet pointing where it's...

Clocking a TD05?

I've read on other forums that it's possible to clock the TD05 to the same position as our stock VF11s. Is this true? How does this affect the wastegate actuator?

Heat is not required, and should be avoided if possible. Use dental floss or light fishing line. Slip the string behind the badge. Use it to "saw" through the adhesive without bending the badge. Go slow, be careful, hold the ends of the string very close to the surface. Once you have it o...

Why don't you get a brake line tool and flare the ends where it's cut, and then screw it together with a brake line fitting? Repair the turbo line just like you would a normal steel brake line. Should work well enough that you wouldn't even need to replace it... http://www.relitech.com/brakeln.htm ...

Broken turbo oil line... quick fix?

Alright. So one of the oil lines on my turbo broke as I was trying to loosen the banjo bolt holding it in. I was thinking I could avoid finding a new oil line by "splicing" the two sections of oil line together with some vacuum hose. Would there be any issues with this? Here's an illustrat...
