Re: BBS Mini Meet, Seattle area - Date TBD

Elliot Bay Brewery in Burien. How about that? Any time after 6 is good for me. A little earlier on Wednesday.

FS Seattle, 1991 Legacy LS, 2500 obo

We had to buy a minivan, this car has to help pay for it. I'm not happy about it, but that's how it goes sometimes. This Legacy has been my run about for a year to save miles on my Jeep. Being almost 25 years old, it's not in perfect condition. The windows are scratched from some previous owner's an...

Re: Seattle get together 11/22 (Who's in??)

Federal Way is fine with me. I usually drop my boy at my brother's house down there on Saturday afternoons, this would be convenient.

Re: Seattle get together 11/22 (Who's in??)

I'll show up and have a beer if you keep it close to Seattle. You're coming from way North Josh? How about the Elliot Bay Brewery in Lake City? Weird but good food, lots of kinds of beer on tap. Call ahead and we should be able to reserve a table. Just suggestion. Pretty sure they still have a parki...

Re: My 91 plain jane.

It wasn't "that hard", but the sedan was a pain in the ass compared to the wagons. Using the Outback tops pushes the spring away from the inner wall. There was no way the spring wasn't gonna rub without lots of bfg to the inner wall. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1100x619q90/843/gjszo....

Re: My 91 plain jane.

She's not single, not your type. (wink) Record? Dunno. But I've been through a LOT of Subarus. The swap is a bitch in the sedan. The 03 front struts were a direct bolt on, the 99 rears were not. I had to open up the holes at the tops to fit the different bolt pattern. I chose to do rather than wappi...

My 91 plain jane.

Though I've been a member here for awhile, haven't had a legacy to talk about. I hunted around for awhile wanting a car to put around the city to save miles on my Rubicon. Alllmooost settled on an 84 GL sedan, but didn't want to be looking for parts all the time. (I just pawned off a full sized chev...

Re: old school question.

Yeah, I have a totally different vin#. Starts with 4S4. I think the SS is a typo only. Will look for a wrecked SS, but ain't holding my breath.

Thanks guys.

Re: old school question.

It's a 91. Correction. . . The title claims "SS", I did not read the vin, nor do I know how to translate it.

Re: old school question.

It does have a sway bar. The vin# says it's an SS, but no Turbo. . . I wonder if the actual SS bar is thicker? hmm . . .

old school question.

I'm not new to soobs, but don't know a few things still. I have a 91 LS sedan that I drive the kids to school with to save miles on my Jeep. What can I use to upgrade the stock rear sway bar? Any direct bolt ons? Here's the car, as seen with our XV. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1014x571q90/843/...

Re: LSD rant

This is indeed a learning experience for me. Not like I think I know everything about a Soob, but I'd like to think I know quite a bit. Mike's a good guy, it was me who thought (and asked others who agreed) that it was an open diff that he'd sold to me. We were baffled, he probably a bit suspicious ...

96 OBS part out

It's totalled, so there's some parts available. 127k Engine runs, I fired it up this a.m. Runs choppy like it may have jumped a tooth, but fired right up. I put an arrow pointing to the only damage I could find to any of the pullies. The timing belt cover was crunched. $500 obo if you pull it, add 7...

If old school scooby doesn't take it, you can have it. I'll drop the price of the radiator to 100 too if you want to grab it with the motor. You got my # still?
