Re: What year transmissions can I put in my car?
Basically, I found a 95 FWD tranny with 70k on it for only $200. I'd like to try to put that inbut dont want to run into issues with harness connectors or TCU

What year transmissions can I put in my car?
Hey guys (and girls)! Haven't been on in a while, I blew the transmission in my 91 Legacy Auto FWD last October and parked it. I've been traveling around a lot with my team competing since then so haven't really had a chance to fix it. It only has about 60k on the car so I hate getting rid of it. Ca...

Hurray for burning out my 4EAT! questions ...
I haven't been on in a while guys. I'm a broke and busy Law student now. I just burnt out my 91 Subi's auto tranny. As I said I'm poor now so I can't afford a new car and I really can't afford to spend a lot on a tranny. I need to know exactly what year and model Subaru's I can take a tranny from an...

Bad Check Engine Light
Anyone had this problem? I have a problem with my car and I can't tell what it is because the check engine light doesn't work. Can you hook our cars up to an OBD1 computer?

Thanks guys ... I'm also going to try replacing the Cam and Crank sensors. The car only has around 60k original miles on it, but it sat for around 6 years. There were a lot of rotted lines underneath when i got it so I'm thinking maybe the crank sensor is rotted and shorting to ground when it's wet....

Misfire problem
So my car likes to misfire like a bitch when the air has a lot of moisture in it. I've got no engine codes, have replaced the Plugs and wires. Replaced the coil pack and ignitor with Diamonds, replaced the MAF sensor .... um ... think thats it. Thought I'd gotten it though we havn't had any rain for...

I'll tell you what, I've been in ... oh ... about 8 accidents not counting motorcycle accidents. Everyone of them was in a early 90's Import. I've got T-Boned by someone doing 60 on the passenger side, T-Boned by someone doing 75 on the DRIVER side ... flipped a car doing 70 without a seatbelt on .....

So I'm getting ready to do a 5 speed swap and a paint job. Just wondering if any pedal box will work?

Driving these pigs today is like having sex with his and her condoms and a Mormon chastity suit damaged just enough to get the job done. But I guess that's why I'm building my own. Wow ... that ... that just sounds horrible ... I just have no smartass remark for this .... Now I will agree with you ...

The only thing I'll say is it was a non turbo. Back in the day ... like the BC that we're used to we accept a four cylinder with 150hp give or take. Now a days we expect so much more from a car. When a civic with a 1.8 liter SOHC can put that HP out we want more of a car that is in the class of an a...

no your right ... you can add the factory tape deck/cd player to most factory deck but the plugs are completely proprietary. And yes, as MP3 player got more popular, some of the newer subaru's came with an available stereo upgrade with a line in for that sort of thing. Most of them came with decent ...

you can swap ANYTHING in as long as you wire the harness in. Meaning ... if you want to put a Dodge Viper radio in and you get the harness you could. Now ... to be more realistic, there are VERY few makes that put a factory stereo in that has the aux out. Except the last couple years. So your better...

They're actually not THAT bad. Normal plugs are a little white ... as aposed to black ... those look like your getting a little oil blow by. Either from piston rings or valve seals. IDK how many miles you have on your car but from what I've seen on EJ22's after around 200k or more that's normal. Rin...

OK so I guess Im retarded and cant figure out the offset. Sooo I went and put them on my car and tested it myself. Here's a side shot, I would say with factory suspension these would look nicer without lowpro tires ... that's my opinion. http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/6/l_d389f0440eb141...
