Well I just took another look at the connector, and it seemed to be fried. I just rewired it and I just got the car to start up 4 times and idle correctly. Keep looking on ebay.co.uk. I just picked up a set of OEM fog lights for 20 pounds. With shipping to the west coast of the united states it ended up being about 70 dollars US.

I'm going to Olympus for sure, going to drive down from Bellingham. But..problem solved. I'm not used to having the radiator fill res. on the top of the motor, I attached the main coolant flow line going to the radiator into one of the vacuum lines. Yeah..whoops.
