Need help finding an Impreza short shifter

Hello, I'm trying to find a short shifter for my girlfriend's 97 Impreza Outback, but I'm having troubles finding one that will work. I'm also on a super tight budget as well, my spending limit is $60, and I need it by the 21st of this month. Can anyone please help me out? Sent from my Nexus S 4G us...

I believe so, because the switch part is in the column itself isn't it? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: Best Way To Fix Crooked Steering Wheel

When I replaced my rack, I told the shop that I wasn't sure if my rack was centered, and they said they'd take care of that. However I to had to re-align my steering wheel. This job is really really easy, at leatst on my car, but i'm not %100 sure if it's the same for yours. All I had to do was disc...

Re: steering rack confusion?!?!?!

My boots have been torn for years and it still holds fluid just fine. If you tore it on a trail you probably broke a line or the rack itself. Possibly, i'm thinking I might have just got to much debris in the boot and screwed up all my seals. When I pulled my rack, it also had a bunch of metal shav...

Re: steering rack confusion?!?!?!

I had to replace my steering rack because my boot got torn on a trail I did. I didn't notice untill I parked my car for a couple hours, started it, and tried turning and my pump started screaching because all my power steering fluid leaked out of my steering rack on the side the boot was torn. I'd f...

Re: steering rack confusion?!?!?!

Do the boots look torn on your rack? have you double checked the lines for and loose or leaky connections? Maybe a cut in one of the lines, or anything like that? Have you traced and Power Steering Fluid back from the puddle to where it's leaking?

Re: steering rack confusion?!?!?!

What I did was just replace my sterring rack. I ended up paying less then $260, before an alignment and tie rod ends. But I still paid less the $315! Just call your local parts store, adn ask for a complete steering rack. It's not to hard to replace either.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm gonna keep it set to AWD from now on anyways.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Replaced the FWD fuse box with a switch and mounted it where my non-working Cigarette lighter is... I don't really have a good reason for doing this. I was just bored and happened to have some extra wire and a switch lying around, so I grabbed and went to work:) lol. I did almost exactly that lol. ...

Suggestions for an alarm system

Last night my gf's car and my car got broken into and a bunch of important and expensive stuff was stolen. So i've decided it's time to get a good alarm system. I have no idea what's a good brand or anything like that. Does anyone have any suggestions?
