wider wheel, same tire

Is there an advantage to doing this? I am envisioning a less bulgy side wall, Would the tire would roll less when cornering?

i'm still observing on my problem, it seems that it does it without the a/c on, but less frequently. perhaps it has more to do with the radiator fan, i dunno, i'll let you know what i learn

off topic

you could get one that isn't sealed if you put in a sealed box which is vented to the outside. not that you would ever want to do that Still wouldn't recommend this if it's in the passenger compartment or trunk. agreed The only reason i mentioned it is because thats how it is in Volkswagon Eurovan ...

mgjs1, that this looks Neato

why not micro ATX?
and why would you carpet a nice aluminum case, wouldn't that hinder its cooling characteristics?

hmm, yeah, i thought you might have trouble getting an answer here. It seems most people think all spring questions have been beatin to death. well, from what i have gathered from reading here, just based on the spring rates, putting stiffer springs in the front and softer in the rear will cause the...

so i went and compared front gr-2's for 90-91 with 92-94. the spring perches were welded in the same place. different part numbers, same perch height.

tomorrow i'll compare the rears.

smaller tires sounds like your only option
people seem to like 205/50 on 16's - acurate speedo
i think those would be about 7/8" smaller diameter, would that be enough?

maybe a wheel spacer but that would mess up your offset

splinter, i think it sounds like a great idea. So many uses. I'd love to have a computer in my work truck, i could type up and print out bids and invoices for customers. Could store loads of information, etc. oh no, a safety guy. i think its rediculous to give him a safety talk. Its up the to the in...

So i figure its the A/C relay clicking. What could be the source of the problem? should i go ahead and replace t...

i have a junked legacy with newish gr2's that i couldn't seem to keep on the road. i drove over some stuff nasty enough to break the control arm. my question is: can one really big bump blow out a gr2 and how can i test them besides putting them on my other car and seeing how they drive? and has any...

i think you can squeeze 28's maybe 29's with a 3" lift. there's guy out here who has a lifted wagon with 17 or 18" wheels and really wide tires, prolly 255's maybe wider. it looks kinda cool, like a poormans all-road.
