Needing EJ22 Pistons, prefer MY97-98
Doing a rebuild on a 99 EJ222 out of an OBS, and it turns out that the rings for that engine are harvested from unicorn horns (expensive/hard to find)
So, I need a set of pistons, preferably from a 97-98. Need them shipped to 97526, quick status.

WTB: Rear strut tophats/mounts from Legacy
Doing the STi springs on my OBS, and needing a set of rear tophats. I have one good one from a 91 Legacy, so I may only need one, but I'll buy a nicer newer set if anyone has any for sale. PM price shipped to 97526
BTW a new set shipped is around $60. Just throwing that out there.

Re: WTB Roof rack
Not that it's cool or advisable, but you can just put a blanket on the roof and ratchet strap them down. Works in a pinch. It's easy with the Subi frameless doors

How readily available are the pre facelift lights and corners? I'd like a set when the car is less ugly and more worthy of these. They look amazing.

Been good ever since. Taped up the wiring leading to the connector since the insulation looked questionable.

Re: Budget exhaust?
I have yet to acquire the funds to make it happen, but I'm doing a full exhaust to the tune of $400 and change pending on welding costs. Assuming I do the welding myself, I'll be under $400. http://www.semotors.com/tsudo-97-05-subaru-impreza-2-5rs-ej-header-w-downpipe/ Ignore the DP part, it's a cat...

Re: FS: MO, 91' NA Auto Legacy Part Out and some 91 SS parts
Not that I'm a fan of ABS, but I would like to fix it in my car nonetheless. I could definitely use a new driver rear sensor. If you can find one, I'd also like the driver headlight and corner marker, and a tan passenger sun visor if you have one. Thanks.

Any chance it's ABS and you have a rear sensor in good shape?
If so, there may be other parts I need as well.

Re: Quirks with code storage and resets. Knock sensor relate
In clear memory mode (when you connect both pairs of connectors), the ECU basically does the same thing as it does in D-check mode, except that it clears old stored codes if it doesn't detect any new ones. Your ECU still detects a problem with the knock sensor circuit. Is it possible that the conne...

Quirks with code storage and resets. Knock sensor related.
I just finished my engine rebuild and mangled up my crank sensor. Got a known used good one put in, along with a new knock sensor and got the engine running. The plug on the knock was really hard to get in and I ended up not realizing it wasn't totally seated. Upon starting the engine I got a CEL an...

Re: Crank angle sensor HELP!!!!! NEED SERIOUS HELP NOW
Since it's not really a structural part of the engine, you can more than likely get away with a 2 part metal "weld" like JB or similar to get it back together. Take your time, clean the area really well, and give it plenty of time to cure.

Soak it in purple power for a little while and blast it with a pressure washer. It takes a VERY long time with the pressure washer before the water running out of the carpet starts to turn clear again but that's when the carpet should be clean. Without the pressure washer I don't see you getting th...

swap in a rs, wrx or sti carpet. I was looking at some WRX carpets on NASIOC and noticed that they looked pretty similar. But then again, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. I think I'll pull the carpet out since I already have the seats out, and try the purple power trick. Didn't ev...

One of the POs of my Legacy Wagon had small children, dogs, and was a chain smoker. They also went to the beach and into the mud a lot. At least that's what my interior tells me. I have the seats out of the car and am working on cleaning the carpets, with minimal success. Given how many hours I alre...

91 Legacy Passenger rear strut and parking brake cable.
Just as the title says. I bought the pair of parking brake cables not knowing if I needed one or both and only used the driver's side. Cable moves freely and clamps are in great shape. $25 shipped. Will also throw in a bunch of parking brake hardware that I thought I might need. Also have the passen...
