^ That's what I was going to look for. I got the scoop on, but like everything else I add to my car it fought me. I ran out of day light so I'll have to wait until morning to snap a picture of the final result.
I picked up a scoop from RS25.com as well and it'll be delivered today. After I make a quick run to Lowes for Speed Nuts and some peel & stick foam strips, I'll post some photos of how it turned out. I may also cover the section of the hood that sits under the scoop with some flat black vinyl I ...
I'm sure having different heads (more CFM flow) and the unrestricted exhaust would bump those numbers up a fair amount. I know that my full 3" catless turbo back exhaust makes a world of difference for allowing the turbo to breathe out. Not much you can do about the 90* turbo inlet though. Eith...
This is a great read through on the entire build. You've managed to answer a LOT of questions I had heading towards a build like this. I'll be doing a nearly identical build, but I'll be incorporating a full dash/HVAC/wiring swap into my '92 LSS from a donor '02 WRX I purchased. I'm in the plotting ...
If I can stop spending money on my LSS in other places and soon to be taking on a daily driver WRX wagon rebuild project, I might actually get my JDM ECU sent off to Rob to be chipped. Having this thread light up with posts lately makes me want to get this swap done sooner than later!!! Looks like i...
-You must be listening to Tool lol -Setup looks good! Thanks! The stereo had a bad drinking problem and now because of a court order it is forced to inform me that its "Sober". :-D That is nice! Too bad those are the primary vents I use... but the same method should work for the spot unde...
Scuff the backside with a 40-80 grit sand paper and sandwich the mesh into a layer of Bondo. That is a technique that has been used on aftermarket bumpers for many years. I've done that in the past on several projects with good success.
Thanks!! Where did you get the gauge hoods? The hoods come with the Premium Series gauges from ProSport. They DEFINITELY are a must! Not sure if they sell them individually or not. Never looked into that. BTW, what's the silve button for above the radio? The button is a remote trigger for the Go Fas...
Thanks! I get very particular about things being tidy and clean looking for custom installs. I guess it comes with the territory of working in the custom car audio industry for so long. Of course having all the right tools to do proper work doesn't hurt either.
I've been looking for the good old stand by of aluminum gutter guard but everywhere I look (Lowes, Home Depot, True Value, Ace, etc.) they only sell the nylon crap. Guess I'll be utilizing the garbage can mod as well.
After having 3 gauges (oil press. / oil temp. / water temp.) on top of my dash I decided I'd add one more project to my current list...move the gauges to the vent space below that I rarely ever use. http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn399/dropfocus/Gauge%20Relocation%20Project/null_zps139c94ae.jpg ...
I could modify spare grills all day long and NEVER charge $400+ for my work. I'm already in the process or modding two spares and the fiberglass work isn't too involved. Those prices are insane!
Thanks for the clarification there. I know I had read about at least one member running the stock heads with the RobTune setup and has had good results.
