Re: Vehicle barely runs in need of help!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty sure that is still the vf11 turbo look at the angle its outlet is clocked unless it has an ewg witch is kind of silly on a td04. I'd almost bet that the issue would be having the maf on the hot side of the turbo unless you are running some kind of engine management on it. What all has bee...

Re: Wideband sensor location
Yeah I've read to not put it up and down too. I don't have any catalytic converters on my car anymore and no emissions testing where I live. Looks like I have some welding to do when it gets here.

Wideband sensor location
So my wideband sensor is on its way I was wondering if the stock narrowband location is a good spot to put it. The new one comes with a weld in bung if its not, also if I put the bung in someplace else is there any advantages to running a wideband along side of the narrowband? I am using a haltech e...

Re: Pnp standalone
So the kit is plug and play and the only wiring change I had to make is for my intake temperature sensor I've reassigned the maf signal wire to take car of it. I put the sensor in the bottom of the throttle body I thought thats where it would heat soak the least. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...

Re: Pnp standalone
Yeah I called haltech earlier today to ask them and they said it was pinned the same as an ej20g. From the I/O pin outs from the ej20g and the ej22t that I will be using they all match up so I'm going to go ahead and order it with the patch harness. I will check back in once I get it installed and l...

Re: Pnp standalone
This is the kit I am going to get https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-150941-elite-1500-subaru-wrx-my93-96-and-liberty-rs/ It has the harness that plugs directly into the ecu and directly to the adapter plug so before I wire in my meth injection and my intake air temp sensor the sockets should be pin...

Pnp standalone
So I am about to order my ecu I have decided to go with a haltech elite 1500 there is the option for a plug and play harness that I was considering getting my question is do I need to treat the wiring like I am doing a rob tune install minus the ignition conversion because the haltech can be set up ...

Re: Link g4+ vs haltech elite 1500
I think I will stick with the haltech that is what I was talking to my tuner about and he knows the software I didn't ask about the link but the haltech comes with a built in map and has wideband support without a CAN unit

Link g4+ vs haltech elite 1500
So I've decided to skip doing a robtune and go straight to standalone that way I can use my meth injection system. Im looking at the link and the haltech systems right now and cannot find a clear answer if one is really better than the other and can't find any info of anyone running the haltech on o...

Re: Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questio
You want the head gasket to match the bore I've read that the phase 2 2.2 might be an option but it may be too thin. From all the research I've done I couldn't find anyone but myself using this head and block combo. The only build I saw that was close to what I did was a guy over on nosiac that did ...

Re: Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questio
Its a 2mm difference which ends up to be a 1mm of open area which is tiny so I gave it a shot and so far so good. As far as the cams I'm not sure how to identify what cams you actually have maybe someone else on here knows. If I had an ej20g intake I would probably go with that one. Sent from my XT1...

Re: Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questio
Ok I did this exact head swap on my ss a couple of months ago and I do not have any issues with the lower compression with the gaskets I used this is a link to the gasket set I went with https://m.summitracing.com/parts/cgt-c4263-051?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-cometic&am...

Re: Ej22t fuel rails in Ej25d manifold
Thanks! Its definitely been a process im going to be putting on a front mount in the next few weeks and modifying my power steering pump to remote locate the the reservoir I saw that there was a write up on here but none of the pictures are working anymore so when I do that I will be documenting wha...

Re: Ej22t fuel rails in Ej25d manifold
Just an update in this the rails work perfectly like this with no fuel leaks. It looks like an under the manifold inlet will work with a different power steering reservoir and grind off the tab that holds the purge solenoid on off. How does it run with the 96 dohc hla heads? Fan freaking tastic!!! I...

Re: Ej22t fuel rails in Ej25d manifold
So its all together and running with no fuel leaks the fpr ended up having to go on the rear drivers side of the engine otherwise it hits the cam covers and interferes with the power steering lines. Its a pretty tight fit and I had to make both front pipes face out towards the fenders to keep my ac ...

Re: Intake valves not closing
Got the car back together tonight and it all worked itself out after a few minutes of running. It doesn't feel any less torquey with the 96 dohc heads on it I only have the boost set at 5psi at the moment and it pulls just as hard as the sohc heads at 12. Overall I am very pleased with this setup fo...

Re: Ej22t fuel rails in Ej25d manifold
No problem I figured that I wasn't the only one who has run across this issue before and until I can get a robtuned ecu or a stand alone this will work for me.

Ej22t fuel rails in Ej25d manifold
So I looked all over the place for info on this and everywhere I look people say you cannot use the Ej22t rails on the Ej25d manifold. But I figured away to use them if any is interested. First I cut the fuel lines off the Ej25d you have to leave them long enough to flare the ends out. http://i110.p...

How is the condition of your intake piping I had a similar issue before I put a catch can set up and deleted my bpv. Do you have oil building up in your intake track at all?

Re: Intake valves not closing
Thats good to know. I haven't got much done with it this week I had a camshaft cap bolt snap off in the head and I drilled into it to use an easy out the easy out snapped off in the broken bolt and none of the bits I had was up to the task of drilling through that easy out. Luckily my dad has some p...

Re: Intake valves not closing
The cams are stamped with a R and L and an I and E so im 100% that they are in the correct spots. I was reading someone else with my exact issue on a vanogan with an ej22e in it and someone told that guy not to worry about it because he was cranking it over by hand and thats its not totally uncommon...

Re: Intake valves not closing
Yeah I ended up taking them all out and bleeding them checked it out all the valves were closed after then I put the head back on without the cams in and they were sealing then I put the cams back in and its leaking past the intake again on the number 1 and 3 cylinders. I really dont want to put the...

Intake valves not closing
So im in the process of installing my dohc heads and when I turn the engine over by hand all my compression leaks out of the #4 cylinder when I have the camshaft installed pull it out the cam and it seals just fine. One of my hla buckets on that cylinder is squishy and the other is very solid feelin...
