Re: robertpaige's 92' Legacy SS - build

Thanks, Josh! Well today will be purchasing a lot of stuff. I found an ESL board from Kimo, and I may decide to run that after awhile. My plan is to use the RobTune setup to get everything broken in, or until this motor needs to be replaced. Then when I decide to do a bigger turbo, and either 850cc...

Re: ej22 na turbo help pls

I'd start by pulling the plugs and see what they look like. You could try the stock plugs and see if that makes a difference. If the colder plugs aren't reaching their self-cleaning temp even when into boost they could be carboned up. ok, thanks, i'll have a set of the stock and colder plugs on han...

Re: ej22 na turbo help pls

well I have a misfire at idle... after a long hard pull, ( 13% grade for 1.5 miles) at 8psi boost, it seems I have developed a bad mis at idle and reduced power overall. I pulled plug wires one at a time, and unplugged injectors one at a time neither seem to be a problem, no smoke, no engine noise. ...

Re: where to buy skirts

It's a Voltex rear diffuser for a 02-07 GD WRX/STi and it fit perfectly. The front lip is an 06-07 STi Limited V lip off eBay. Also fit perfectly just needed the ends trimmed off a little bit. Ordered a turbo front bumper, I hate the look of my ls front bumper.... and got 03 outback side skirts, I`...

The boost retard is integrated in the box. Just add a map sensor. Hoping i can get this wired up. If i do ill p...

msd ignition controller

Just thinking about a msd 2 controller on my 22na turbo swap. They list a timing controller on the site for use with the box. Will this work on my sube to retard timing a bit? http://www.msdperformance.com/Products/RPM/Timing_Controls/Timing_Controls/8762_-_Boost_Timing_Master_for_use_with_MSD_Ignit...

I have installed in mine red injectors from a 1998 subaru outback 2.5 dohc, they seem to be working perfectly. I tried some yellow ones from a jdm 2.0 tubo motor... the black smoke and raw fuel out the tailpipe was terrible! make you choke and burn your eyes!

Re: ej22 na turbo help pls

Bratman is talking about the heads themselves. The coolant jackets on the heads don't match the coolant jackets on the closed deck block. If you wanted the correct coolant ports, you'd have to modify the heads i.e. open up the coolant ports on the heads to get the proper coolant flow. I don't know ...

Re: ej22 na turbo help pls

That's usually a problem the newer heads has, i.e. usdm wrx and up. I don't think I have seen any older heads with the spark plug crack. I think all the heat causes it. It rattled under load preturbo and after turbo, I thought just carbon buildup.. when I got it I did plugs among other things right...
