I got the same wheels for my 93. I was told 215/50r17 is the biggest I could probably get away with. I'm gonna look for something more like 205/45 though.

That was my line of thinking. I had to give a good effort to open the calipers in the first place so its probably just gunked/stuck.

theyre duralast pads, and removing the shims still wouldnt make them fit. Its like the caliper needs to "scoot" towards the outside a bit, but is stuck in the worn-pad position.

So I went to do new pads and rotors the other day, but my new pads will not clear my calipers. Pistons are fully depressed, the inner pad will fit, but the caliper is coming down onto the top of the outside pad. I verified that I do indeed have the correct pads and rotors for a 93 SS. After searchin around on here, from what I could tell, the 02/03 wrx springs and such can work on a 92-94.
