Re: VSS
If this motor is going in your vanagon i think you are going way too deep into this for your own good and mental sanity. The motor doesn't care how fast you are going just if you are moving or not.

Re: VSS
i am very sure for the vanagon conversion the engine ecu just needs to know if you are moving or not moving to work right. for the obd1 systems.

Lean on idle and stoichiometric while driving
Hello, I have a Rob Tune and I was wondering if I could check the CEL. I used the 93 NA wiring harness that was in the car for the swap, with all of the supporting mods. The car was running great up until last week. This issue I am trying to figure out is: 1. In the past the AFR ran rich between shi...

Also I have a Rob Tune ECU. I don't know if that had a factor with the ECU and TCU talking to each other.

using a SVX transmission in 93 TLeg Wagon
Ok, first off I love having a 5 speed manual in the turbo wagon....... but the 5 speed is stock NA 4.11 gears from before my turbo swap.. the down side is that now the transmission is making some sounds it didn't before and I daily drive the thing. Now I am making plans for a transmission change. I ...

Re: Buzzing clicking from behind cluster when starting
mine is a MT and if I don't have the clutch in all the way it makes that similar sounds. I just try the clutch again down farther and no buzz and car starts

Re: RobTune issues/questions?
I had a similar problem with the AFR's and hard start up. it ended up being a loose ground wire that was connected next to the fuel rail on the driver's side of the motor. I tightened that up and all good.

Re: NA Hood to Turbo Hood
This is how I did it. I did an H pattern cut in the hood and bent up the back and down the front of the H pattern to keep the air going to the right place with out any extra air damming under the hood. http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j333/OlympiaSVX/6040bb96-ca34-49a7-81ae-630be07c1133.jpg http:...

Re: did i FRY my Rob Tune ECU?**FIXED**
thanks for all the support. I checked all of the power connections to the ECU including the fuses, checked the grounds from the ecu pin outs, and then tried the old turbo ECU... The old ECU did the same thing and acted like the Rob Tune ECU I thought I fried... I then remembered that I could jump th...

did i FRY my Rob Tune ECU?
I have recently completed my EJ22T swap into my 93 legacy wagon and I have put about 200 miles on the car. I have a Rob tune ECU with the 4 to 2 converter. wow I love to drive this thing. A week ago the air fuel ratio was becoming increasingly inconsistent and running rich. I put the grey top inject...

Re: Derek's 93 NA to EJ22T wagon build
The turbo cross over pipe and the NA heater return pipe run in the same route. I knew I was going to move the turbo coolant box because of the intercooler. so the difference between the two pipes were the diameter of the pipe. So if I was to move the turbo coolant box I would have to run coolant lin...
