Re: Boost Cut Issues on Robtune Code 44
Ended up pulling the intake side and re-tightening everything and replaced a couple of hoses. Boost is back and I suspect it was in the TMIC piping. Such a weird code but luckily it turned out to be an easy fix once I got to the issue. It is crazy how hard these cars pull. Especially after lots of c...

Re: Boost Cut Issues on Robtune Code 44
Thanks for the reply Josh! I am a bit lost as set-up was all done by Mike T. Like you, I haven't read up on it in a long time and my search skills are a bit rusty here. I have not reached out to Rob as of yet. Wasn't sure if he was still doing these tunes. I will post up on Facebook as well since it...

Boost Cut Issues on Robtune Code 44
Been a long time since I have posted in here! Not sure how much traffic there is anymore but here goes: 1992 Subaru Legacy with 550 robtune, VF23, TMIC, Grimmspeed mbc, Grimmspeed uppipe, 3" bellmouth DP with AFR gauge Had issues with boost and idle. Figured out the uppipe had a hole in it and ...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Added a new row of Hella lights. Went a size bigger this time. Decided to add vinyl to the back of my rally armor flaps to give a different look and match the car up a bit more. I just did the back side of the flaps. I want to see how it holds up. Getting enough car wrap to do all four would be chea...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
For my first projects, I put in a different boost gauge and swapped on some summer tread on the new, rust free addition to my driveway. Many thanks Mike. This car is a beast!

Here is a great listing of suspension/wheel/tire set-ups in this thread. I have referred to it many times:

Re: 1991 Legacy NA Timing Belt kit v. Turbo Timing Belt Kit
Found it. Just needed a little more patience. Timing belt pulleys, cam shaft sprockets/gears, and tensioner are the same between stock turbo and NA engines from '89-94 (and some newer); water pump is specific to the ’92-94 turbo, and the ’91 turbo also has an extra port on the water pump to feed the...

1991 Legacy NA Timing Belt kit v. Turbo Timing Belt Kit
I am wondering about the differences between these two kits. Will all of the components in an NA kit work except for the water pump on the SS? I picked up the NA kit on accident and am wondering if I can use all of the components and just pick up a proper water pump. I have seen posts that point tow...

Re: How To: 440cc Injectors in Legacy Turbo Rails
Bringing this thread back from the dead. This is such a good resource for the injector swap and the original images are gone so I am going to post up some new images for reference. Just did this on my '91 SS. Straight drop into the stock rails. The first image shows the rings/spacers in order from t...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Replaced my radiator, new thermostat and put in an after-market fan. Mounted and ran an oil pressure gauge and moved my boost gauge to the dash. Swapped in the 440 injectors. Just need to put in the green label MAF now. Put in a new battery and cleaned up and redid two sections of my intercooler pip...

Two opposite points of view always makes it tougher to make a decision! I have the spot for the wideband sensor so I will end up putting it in when I have the moolah. Truck repairs are sucking my budget now. Thanks for posting up.

Would you recommend putting a wideband in with the Robtune? I should be getting to the install on mine this weekend... Finally.

I put my 50,000th mile on this car since buying it three and a half years ago. Bought it with 202,000 miles on it and the goal of putting 50,000 on it. Looks like I will try for 100,000 now!

Re: Water Pump Question
Thanks for the reply! Oddly enough, anytime I have added coolant or filled the system the pump has circulated right off the start no matter if it was middle of the winter or middle of the summer. For this situation, the next time I started the car the pump was circulating. Apparently that hose just ...

Water Pump Question
Does anyone have any experience with the water pump just crapping out on them? This morning I was driving and noticed my check engine light come on and it illuminated my temp gauge almost in the red. My lower radiator hose was disconnected from the radiator and obviously had no coolant in the system...

Good info! If you are going to throw the exhaust on the lawnmower might as well put a td04 with a BOV on it too.
