Re: 1992 Legacy Turbo with 5MT transmission, T-BONED
Price has been reduced to $900. Pretty sure it would be hard to find a running EJ22T alone for this price!

Re: 1992 Legacy Turbo with 5MT transmission, T-BONED
Hi Lucas, I am not willing to part individually right now. I would like to sell it all at once so that someone can have all the parts for an engine/transmission swap.

Re: 1992 Legacy Turbo with 5MT transmission, T-BONED
Forgot to mention that the car also has KYB GR2 shocks on all four corners, and has been kept completely dry in my garage since the accident.

1992 Legacy Turbo with 5MT transmission, T-BONED
Hey guys, my baby is for sale. It's a 1992 Legacy Turbo (EJ22T) with the 5 speed manual transmission, which is a very rare combination to find. I was very unfortunately in a major T-Bone accident with it, which has totaled the car. I did not have comprehensive collision insurance, so the car was not...

Re: Both low beams not working, high beams work fine
I've tested the lighting switch per the service manual. There's continuity between pins 1 and 3 when the switch is set to the 2nd position, and no continuity between these pins on the other positions. This is correct. I would test the dimmer and passing switch, but I cannot find the black 8 pin conn...

Both low beams not working, high beams work fine
Hi everyone, I've been having some more electrical problems on my 1992 Legacy turbo. It's strange how much its been producing small electrical gremlins. Awesome car though. Everything was working great this morning, both low/high beams. On my way home I noticed both the low beams were not working. T...

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
I traced the wiring diagrams when I was researching this. That blue connector is for the highest speed on the blower fan, and nothing else.

Re: Will my power antenna need to be replaced?
I took the assembly apart and found the teeth on one of the gears was too worn down to move the other gear with the electrical contacts (which turns motor on/off), resulting in the motor still running when the antenna is all the way up (crunch noise). I was originally going to replace it with a univ...

Will my power antenna need to be replaced?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FseOZD3 ... e=youtu.be
Makes this noise every time, although it's not as bad as the video makes it out.
Sounds like a gear is stripped, and It won't go all the way down.
Do I need to replace the whole unit?

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
The blower fan problem was fixed by reconnecting this blue connector under the steering wheel. I thought it was for diagnostics because it's been unplugged ever since I've owned the car. And, of course I pulled the dash before realizing this. I also replaced the relay before realizing this, but the ...

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
Thanks for reminding me about that. I went and found the relay today. I think it's the "smoking gun", because pins 3/4 on the relay are very tarnished and their part of the connector is brown. I cleaned up the contacts to see if that would fix it, but it did not. I will replace this relay ...

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
On another note, the blower fan works on settings "1,2,3" but not "4". My first inclination was to replace the resistor pack, but "4" is full voltage and should not require any resistance. Is there a relay I should check, or perhaps the switch?

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
The short was found in the dome light wiring with the help of the power probe. It was pinched under the sunroof bracket above the door. It's been fixed now and the fuse no longer blows. Re: EJ22T lifter noise
I just looked again, and the HLA I had replaced was completely squishy. So I then replaced it with the original lifter, after I bled it. No more ticking even after a 10 minute car ride down the road! Moral of the story I guess is to stick with OEM parts. For anyone wondering, the new HLA was "M...

Re: EJ22T lifter noise
Hey guys. The noisy HLA was on the rear left side of the engine. It moved when pushed, all of the rest were rock hard and would not move. I installed the new lifter (pre-bled) and that fixed the situation right away. Ticking was completely gone, it seemed almost miraculous. Before: https://www.youtu...

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
The power probe is pointing towards a short within the dash. This is a likely cause because the previous owner apparently already had the dash out once. Perhaps he pinched a wire during re installation.
This means the dash will have to be removed again.
Not fun.. haaa haa

Need help identifying electrical component
Hi everyone, What is this electrical component? It's located behind the passenger strut tower and has number "6842060050". A quick Google search of those numbers returned nothing. It was unplugged on my car for some unknown reason. Previous owner installed a manual boost controller if that...

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
Yes, a new fuse always blows right away. There is a definite short, I measured continuity between the fuse socket pin and ground. I have ordered a Power Probe ECT2000 (no affiliation) that I hope will lead me to the short. It injects a signal in the circuit and shows the direction of the short, amon...

Re: '92 Legacy Turbo blowing clock/room fuse
This car is becoming a wiring nightmare. Sunroof doesn't work now (no sound of motor/relay), all interior lights don't work, radio doesn't work, and the "door open indicator" also doesn't work.
