Re: Stereo project, something new!

The shipping would be the most expensive part...I am in Ontario, Canada. Right now hes got crazy amounts of things hes printing. I've got a 3 month wait for my one little part :/ There are plenty of pieces of software you can download for free to design in. AutoDesk 123D, TinkerCAD, blender,FreeCAD,...

Re: Stereo project, something new!

Most makerspaces have normal heated or non heated print beds but all of them are an extrusion head. Liquid 3D printers are just too expensive at the moment. My buddy just bought one for his business idea. It's cool because no matter the orientation of the print the strength is the same and the resol...

Re: Stereo project, something new!

For anything on the backside (inside the cavity), Ill use regular PLA extrusion 3D printing. for the front cover to maintain a smooth surface I have two options. Two of my friends have 3D printers, one friend has an Ultimaker classic with extended z-axis and the other friend has a very nice liquid 3...

Re: Stereo project, something new!

Josh, Thats great info to watch out for. I think to start out with I'll try it out as just the standard board. If it sounds horrible or unbearable for daily listening I'll purchase the DC to DC converter. I'm pretty familiar with DC to DC converters in different applications (used to work for Tesla ...

Re: Stereo project, something new!

Good info! Thanks for the heads up. The board also has a built in line in...theres a micro switch to change between the two inputs so if it all goes wrong with the bluetooth option I can change over to the line in...but then it defeats the purpose. I'm also not too worried about automatically recone...

Stereo project, something new!

Ok...so I'll start with what I had as requirements. 1) Screenless-I wanted something that had no screen because I could just use my phone as the display (or any bluetooth enabled device really) 2) Bluetooth enabled-obviously for music and conversations 3) Built in class D amp-Something of quality, a...

Re: Airbag Light Trouble

Airbag light should be at the upper left corner of the cluster. When starting it should come on for roughly 2 seconds then shut off (self diagnostics). Do you have an airbag steering wheel? Is the airbag module (computer) still installed in the car? Have you checked to see if the lightbulb is instal...

I bought my collectors from Ebay and they were great quality T304. I used an STi cross pipe and Invidia up-pipe I got for free to complete to manifold set up. Total cost, $93 after shipping. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Subaru-EJ22T-Exhaust-Header-SOHC-Headers-DP-Down-Pipe-Legacy-91-92-93-94-/291717871072...

Re: Custom Power Steering Line Thread

its gonna be a while. However for more info check out TeamLegacyUK. He's done the exact same mod but with a Citroen Saxo VTS pump that's similar to the Mazda3 style. I've later found that although similar the Mazda3 pump works better at reacting under heavy load than the Citroen pump does. Theres an...

Re: Custom Power Steering Line Thread

If you're going through all the trouble and expense of modifying the lines, for an extra $50 head down to the junk yard and pick up a power steering pump and pigtale from a Mazda3 and go electric. I bought my pump for $30, wiring was $20, fuse $6, and my custom lines were roughly $40. I used a reser...

Ok, I just got back from my bearing supplier. I have pictures of both bearings if anyone would care for me to e-mail them. Measurements in mm are 35x15x11. Model number of the original bearing to come in both the impreza tensioner pulley and the Legacy pulley are 6202DU2. This bearing is no longer p...

You may also want to try hitting up a small appliance repair shop for those brushes. Household fans and such would probably be a more likely source for that style of brush.

It cost $2.68 CAD. www.bearingscanada.com was the supplier and they ship world wide. The bearing is the exact same part number as the one that came out of my Legac...

Re: 300/350 HP EJ22T?

Any WRX trans will take 250-275 TQ (sometimes more depending on mods like brace plates and harder gears or cryo treating. Have seen WRX trans take up to 325TQ, someone on here may have seen higher). STi 6-speed (any year 6-speed...2000-present JDM STi and 2004-present USDM STi) have been known to ha...

Use a spray bottle filled with water. While the engine is running spray the ignition coil and high tension leads. Watch and listen for arcing. replace the necessary parts. :D then enjoy the car again.

Re: Steering column question.

Would this be purely for cosmetic reasons? To get the interior finished off or do you want the quicker STi rack?

http://www.landefabrication.com/parts.html

at the bottom on this page there is a changeover link to use GD rack in GC chassis, eliminating the need to change the column.

Start with reading and doing searches on here. This site is a wealth of information on that head swap. Its well documented. However, you can use the 22T harness with minor modification. You will need to use the 20G intake manifold and because you are changing over to DOHC heads you will need to run ...

Engine mounts

I recently found that I have a pooched set of liquid filled engine mounts. So I am looking to replace them with the Group-N mounts or anything that will fit and is not liquid filled. Does anyone have the part numbers for the Group-N mounts? Or a vendor that has them for a decent price? I have tried ...
