Re: Aftermarket exhaust for 93 turbo Legacy

But how would the drone be? My goal for the car is getting it to 250 whp and still having a relyable daily drive, but I have a big backbox now and it improved the rumblw, but I want more. And should a 2,5 " exhaust be good for 250 or will 3" give better flow, but less backpreassure?

Re: Aftermarket exhaust for 93 turbo Legacy

I'm rocking the WRX ebay special, that I had to modify basically the hole thing. Just be ready to flex your fab skills. Okay, but since I have no welder I'm going to get help from a friend mechanic, but One mote question. How loud will it be to remove all the cats and have a straight trough exhaust...

Re: Intake and coffee can delete kit

What do people do with the big line that original sits on the rubber hose just before the airfilter box itself? The one that comes from the thing before the charcoal canister and routes around the airbox, then sliding on to a thing on top of the hose?

Re: Aftermarket exhaust for 93 turbo Legacy

Okay thanks, but for now I want a new downpipe for obvious reasons, but does the GC8 Impreza downpipe fit bolt on to the factory Legacy exhaust midpipe and turbo? And do you know any good downpipes with no cat? Something like this for example http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2...

Re: Easy install front mount?

I didn't take many engine bay pics but you can kinda see here. This is the night I blew the engine up hahaha. In reality, I would have liked to do what TurnNBurn said is flip the thing upside down and run the tubes behind the lights. Cleaner and less piping as well. But this worked great for me and...

Re: ABS pump stuck on

Underneath the plastic ABS cover in the engine bay is 2 relays. For my last car with the same symptoms as yours, it was the relay with the raised 'cross' on it. The dealer was able to find the part number and get me the relay. Iirc it was around $40. My current car also has code 9, replaced the rel...

Re: Defect central locking?

L and above meaning any trim L and higher IE: LS, LSi, SS, etc. I put an aftermarket keyless entry on my Legacy. Works pretty well. Ah okay, but keyless isn't that big of a deal, but wanting the central locking is haha.. I have a fuse for central locking and that's not it :-/ Something else I shoul...

Re: ABS pump stuck on

Search how to check ABS codes. The abs computer is under the passenger seat. My guess is one of the wheel sensors was intermittent before, and its just a coincidence about the timing in relation to your driving. Error code "9" (Faulty motor and/or motor relay or broken or shorted harness ...

Re: Is STP Octane booster worth it?

Okay, I'll skip the octane boosters and instead use some sort of injector cleaner from time to time, but it looks like I've shed all the weight I can at the moment. I still want the car to be really function friendly, and when I want to, go full race car mode haha, but thanks guys!

Re: Defect central locking?

If you have an L or above, the central locking is controlled from the driver's lock switch. When you lock or unlock that door, tho other doors are supposed to lock or unlock as well. There's no keyless entry, the green light is just for finding the keyhole in the dark. ;) What do you mean L or abov...

Defect central locking?

Hi! Ever since I bought my Legacy 93 Sedan the central locking hasn't worked. The main key for the car has a gray button on it and when I press it a green light shines.. I don't know if that's a key less opener, but anyways.. I've checked all the fuses and they are good, but still no locking. Someti...

ABS pump stuck on

On my way home I did a couple of pulls, and the ABS light came on and it has happened before, but simply disconnecting the battery terminal and putting it on again removed the problem for a period of time, but now it's on all the time, I even tried letting the car reset for three hours and depressin...

Is STP Octane booster worth it?

I drive a Legacy 93 EJ20G and I've only filled it up with Shell V Power 98 Octane and is it worth it to buy an octane booster from time to time? And one other thing.. I'm very stoked about weight reduction and some people is saying that filling the car up 2/4 or 1/4 will increase MPG/performance. Is...

Easy install front mount?

Hey! I want to order a FMIC and I've read that GC8 kits are somewhat bolt on, but On my Legacy I don't have foglights installed and I'm not worried about removing the front bumper beam, how easy is the install and can it be done without welding and such? Ps: I have to have an pod filter to make use ...

Re: Stock EJ20G low boost?

10w60??? Jesus. Put a 10w30 at least for that temp outside. Honestly sounds like you have a post turbo leak. I would smoke test it. But if you can't do that just look around and check all your hose clamps and fittings. The fact you fixed a broken vac T and it got better points to a vac leak somewhe...

Stock EJ20G low boost?

Now that winter is ariving here in Norway, the air is getting to freezing tempatures, but my car is not going as well as before. When the turbo spools I don't get the kick of it kicking it anymore, I just hear the spool and a small increase in power. I had a boost gauge connected and before I reache...

Re: Intake and coffee can delete kit

Will installing the resonator delete and keeping the stock airbox in there work easy? I've ordered it, but I'm not that interested in the pod filter since it will not give me much increase or better fuel economy and such, or will it? I hate intake noise that's why.

Aftermarket exhaust for 93 turbo Legacy

Hello! I currently drive a Legacy 93 turbo EJ20G bone stock and I'm wating for a backbox (afterburner Vortex), but further down the road I want the full exhaust built, but how's the fitment from the Impreza with the same powerplant? For example the downpipe and mid section? I'm looking for something...
