Re: New to me EJ22T
Those sort of adapter plates could work, I've never measured up to see if the port spacing is close enough on the P1-P2 SOHC. That plate in the thread is for P2 longblock under a P1 DOHC manifold. I was referring to mounting the P2 IAC and throttle body to the P1 intake. Wiring merge with WRX heads,...

Re: Need help please, 22 spline rear axles, what cars had th
I don't think you're going to get the answer you're looking for. It appears the spline count varied depending an unknown factors, but you'll only maybe find them on early low weight low spec cars. None of the aftermarket companies have it straight. In your situation, it may be easier to find a match...

Re: New to me EJ22T
OK, here is some basic info for you, just some stuff off the top of my head that you should know. You're not making 200hp right now. The 22t in stock form at 9psi is 160hp. You're likely making a little less than that. None of the ECUs you have in either car are tuneable. You can't use the turbo inj...

Ha, didn't even notice I replied to your other thread with basically the same info. Anyway, if you want to sell that crossmember for cold, hard cash, I'd definitely pick it up.

Re: WTB - Rear Driver Side Door - MICA RUBY - 947
As far as I know, you can use any 90-94 door. That broadens your search a bit since Mica Ruby was available in 90-91 and far more common. You can use a sedan door as well as long as you put your wagon glass in it.

Re: EJ AWD Dual Range 5mt Swap
Dual range shifter arrived from the UK so I installed it. Now I just need to either find a center console to ship over here (no luck yet) or modify a USDM center console. I'm going to pick one up at a junkyard soon if I can find a wrecked tan interior 00-01 Outback. 02-04 (like my car) have a differ...

Re: Color Codes *IMPROVED NAVIGATION*
Here's a really weird one, a USDM 92 Touring Wagon in 947 Mica Ruby. Verified the color code on the trim tag as 947. All of my sources say Mica Ruby was not available on 92 cars, except the Subaru parts catalog. Apparently everybody just missed it.

Re: "Best" Turbo for a 550 Robtune
Td05 runs outta breath around 6-6.5k in mine(not completely, just only pushes around 13psi and falling) so I want an 18g down the road You might have an issue then. MBC? My old 94 had no problem holding 18psi to 7k with a 20g/TD05 RobTune combo. Held 18 with the 22t too, but I only revved that comb...

Re: What 25 years looks like
I thought the second gen leggy was the worst! I have mixed feelings about the 2nd gen. I love them in GT form (especially a GT wagon), but prefer the first gen overall when not a GT. Also, I love the Outback in those years, but would prefer a (working) air suspension first gen if I had the choice. ...

Re: 95 legacy central door locking alarm system help please!
I'd go under the dash and find the control box, it'll be easy to identify because the wiring will be messy and tapped into a bunch of other wires. Pull it out and follow all the wires and remove the taps. In the 95-98 Legacy the "dealer option" alarm system was just tapped in by dealers li...

It is fine as-is. Being out of the exhaust stream will not cause it to read improperly, the small space simply dampens quick changes in oxygen content.

Re: Hybrid motor questions
Each time you change a component, such as exhaust or turbo, or (in CJ's case) fix a vacuum leak, they need to be retuned. Our "stupid" ecu's are a lot more flexible with changes to the system. Why ya gotta put me on blast bruh.....? :-D The older ECUs may be more flexible as far as not br...

Re: Hybrid motor questions
You can use an 05 Legacy GT harness and add the exhaust AVCS wires and run a JDM Legacy ECU. The challenge is the immobilizer. You need to add the immobilizer, key cylinder and key from the US GT, then desolder the immobilizer chip from the US and JDM ECUs and solder the US immobilizer chip into the...

Re: EJ AWD Dual Range 5mt Swap
The dual range trans is in, it drives nice. I managed to find the dual range shifter on eBay UK and order it, so that should be here next week. I'm still searching for the dual range center console trim, but I may have to modify a USDM one if I can't find what I need.

Re: '99 Legacy GT sedan, WRX swap
Interesting. More weight in the car, but more power than the old EJ22. Obviously not enough. I had a rental Legacy with the FB25 a while back, and it seemed less torquey at low RPM. I'm sure the FB20 is even worse. It needs to rev out pretty high to utilize the power. We all know the old EJ has torq...
