usually, a factory coating would not flake off unless oil or another fluid was allowed to remain on the surface for some time-not likely for the intake manifold-I think you should paint it "postal blue"

Not sure if I'm going to be there myself-all depends if the '91 can be fixed-you need to come to the SLI meet in bristol (RI-of course!) on aug. 24 in colt state park.

Re: Time for a rebuild? Aug. '16 update
I finally had her towed to the tranny shop (that was recommend by two people) the day my '99 was totaled (a car I should have driven out of the tow lot!) After two days there-I showed up after I had cleaned out my wagon and let him know that the '91 is the only car I have! He had not gotten around t...

Re: What 25 years looks like
I thought the second gen leggy was the worst! I have mixed feelings about the 2nd gen. I love them in GT form (especially a GT wagon), but prefer the first gen overall when not a GT. Also, I love the Outback in those years, but would prefer a (working) air suspension first gen if I had the choice. ...

Re: What 25 years looks like
Current OB is better than the 4th gen Legacy OBXT with an manual trans? Cant say i agree with you there. ;) ..... As a complete model lineup? Yes, as a "SUV/Crossover" it needed the size of the current car...which is still smaller than most other Crossovers. By the way, I hate the term cr...

Another reason they are classified as an SUV-it will always be a wagon to me.mike-tracy wrote:Compared to my 98 Outback with new suspension, the new ones look way jacked up. And enormous lol! Happily I don't have any complaints about legroom in mine. The raised roof really helps.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
I'm up in Massachusetts-I might be able to get one of the guys at work to ship them down-car parts are not unusual in the shipping and receiving area at work-a car dealership-I also remembered that the pattern on the '91 is different then the '93 and I no longer have the rear seats for a complete ma...
