Head Gasket

Post by Allwheeldrive »

I was wondering how often people hear of head gaskets blowing out on ej22t's? Is a hard or expensive fix?

If you are doing it yourself, it is not very expensive. Though the rat bastards at SOA charge about $15 more per gasket for the leggy turbo ones than any other car. :( For the $50ea they want you could get som Cometic ones...

I got my head gaskets fixed for 850$ CAD at the Subaru dealership. If you know how to do it yourself, then it'll be very cheap since most of the money goes for labor, and not much for the parts.
