Turbo questions

I have an EJ22T, just wondering are the turbos in those supposed to last a long time?? Im buying a 92 Legacy with 185000. And are there size differance in the turbos between the manuel and the auto? Is there anything else i should know, never delt with subaru before.. I want to know everything about my engine.. like the rest of my cars before this one.. VW and BMW I Know tons

theres a lotta knowledge on that motor in the "engine" category. there is a whole sticky dedicated to it. o yea. the turbo size shouldnt be different between auto and manual.
