You all remember how I had to pound the shit out of these retarded flanges on the bumper. . . .
Well, once pounded so the radiator could fit, they were in the way of the airflow to the very radiator we pounded them over to fit. We cut them all off using an airsaw and cutoff wheel. (Not shown) I then primered then painted the cut areas to prevent any possible corrosion.
Here you can see that they just had to go. .

The outermost markings are the ones I used to cut the ends of the water lines to a manageable length:

Here you can see that we installed the heater core as close to the center of the car as possible to not only maximize airflow, but also to leave as much room as possible to fit the water supply hoses to the radiator. (Note the two convenient holes under where the driver's side headlight housing mounts to run the supply and return water lines through.)
