I can see a few positive side-effects from such a job:

1. Look at all the new fender well clearance for wider wheels and tires

2. Aftermarket front bumpers for the GDs abound.

I was planning on doing that but only in the front with first gen impreza parts, when I could out there would be more cutting involved than I wanted to do I ende up not doing it. It was merely for testing anyway, wasnt going to keep it. I say good job to this guy. I'm sure a wash would make it look oodles better than it does. I cant understand why he did away with the rear side windows but whatever.

OMG. . . didn't even notice the absence of the rear quarter windows.

I wondered why the C-pillar was looking so Cadillac El Dorado-esque.

That threw me at first, too, but the cheap looking window that replces the two gave it away.

Hmm really strange the car is LHD, so its not in japan, yet there is all japanese writing around, also the door handles look like wrx doors not legacy ones. Discuss

Well like I said, I think it's a nobel idea. It's just that it looks like ass IMO. The lines are all wrong. The front end isn't too bad but the rear half is weird looking. Especially where the rear triangler windows were removed.

Modified Legacy doors with WRX handles. I was thinking of putting XT handles all around, but that's a lot of effort and XTs have dried up in JYs around here.

It looks pretty bad, the front and rear are round and modern, while the greenhouse and doors are sqared off. Good idea, but bad result IMO

THe flaring doesn't look like it was done very well, but I'd still like to know how he did it as I'dlike to flare the stock fenders out at some point (wish I had the money now as I have to do the rear quarter again anyway).

Here's the one I got the idea from: Image

Honestly it doesnt look bad from the front quarter shot. Its just so dusty that it looks really bad. The gas tank needs some work though. Whats interesting is that he kept the rear flare that the legacy already has and then added on the wrx rear flare aswell.

I actually like the design on top, if only because it would turn so many heads... front-on it's WRX, then it goes by and everybody's like, "Wha!?"

And that's Chinese all around it... so it's a Chinese article.

My left quarter-panel is starting to be more loose than I'd like... maybe I'll replace it with a completely black part. XD

See, I didn't get what this was all about.. I thought it really WAS a GD and just had really bad custom CF work done.. ouch, it IS ugly.
That wagon is nice, though. ..But I still like my legacy --all the way around!

The removal of windows on the sedan make it pretty ugly in the back. All that work and no shift boot?
The wagon wouldn't be bad (but still odd) if it weren't teal and didn't have the huge wing.

I don't think i'd drive that. But not a horribly bad idea if only it could have been blended a bit better.

Eh, now that I think about it, I like the pre-facelift Impreza front-end better anyway... and that looks more Legacy... so that at least could've been done differently. And they didn't have to change the quarter-panels... and why that grey color? I like Subaru's blue mica better.

But yeah. Good idea, and I'd drive it with some minor changes to the design.
