My turn in an 05 STi

Post by skid542 »

So you all know that I was doing some bumper repair to my friends STi. The fix worked very well and we're currently waiting to get some touch up paint to finish. However, my friend left for the weekend and left me the keys to finish putting his bumper back on and then to test it out.

Holy shit. That car is a work of art. I've ridden with him while he pushed it to the limits but driving it...wow. 2nd gear is just glorious and that AWD is amazing. I won't go into details about what all I did with her but holy smokes. That car handles perfectly to me and it's the first time I've had a chance to push an AWD with power to spare. It was truly an inspiration to finish school and get a job. The idea of having my car able to truly keep up with that STi through the turns and everything blows my mind. It has given me new respect for what some you're all's cars are and what they do. I just had to share my joy.

Come to the Speed & Feed this summer and see some high powered Legacys in action.

See why I want an 05 STi now? I got to auto-X an 04, and it was an amazingly fun ride :).

Yeah I can certainly see why vast amounts of money get spent on our cars. I'm going to try and bribe my friend into letting me pay for half a tank of gas and then going out again :).

I got to drive my friend's new EVO MR with an intake and RS-R exhaust and holy shit!! That thing left me shaking when I got out. I would love to drive that thing on a circuit.
