It won't play on your PS2 though unless you have the mod chip.

I forgot about the mod chips. You can't run it even if you do a direct copy from DVD to DVD???

Nope, the PS2 discs have some kinda MacroVision type copywrite protection on 'em that won't copy over. Without that encoded code it won't play back. The mod chip disables that function.

I'm just gonna call the makers of the disks and have them send me 100 of them.....and the burner they use. I'm sure they will be cool with that..

Well, I've been playing it for 3 hours, and I'm kind of bored with it. I must be outgrowing the video game thing. I haven't touched my PS2 in months before today. I gotta get a monitor in my car, so I can play it there. It would get alot more use there. :roll:

There's just so much stuff to this game. After you win a series you can clear it and win it again to get another prize car! B-Spec is cool but kinda boring. Turbo plus NAWWWS equals great.

I started with a Toyota Sera but just bought a Blitzen, one day later a prodrive GD pops up and an sti GG. I'm going to keep saving for a v6 Wagon though. Beautiful! What cars did you guys start with?

I've only got one gripe, and it really gets me. There is only the in-car view..WTF I was pissed that there was only the close chase view in GT3. I'm going to start playing the original again.

I cannot comprehend how anyone could drive any video game in chase view. You can't feel what the car is doing (I know you can't really, but the in-car view is good enough that it makes you feel like you can).

It pisses me off bad enough that GTA3 doesn't have in-car view, and I never play a game any other way, even in arcades, the FIRST thing I do is switch views to in-car...

Whaaa? I'm pretty sure GTA3 has an in car view. I'm pretty sure I remember playing it that way. :?

Oh and I agree that in car is the best. I can't see how people play in chase mode. I have no control that way.

I have no idea how you guys play with in-car view! Maybe it's because I grew up with games that had 3rd-person view... 'cause I don't drive nearly as well with the in-car view as I do outside. Outside I can see the suspension reaction, braking reaction, etc. Everything. I just don't feel anything with the in-car view. In-car makes me feel wholly disconnected.

Weird. o.o;

Hardy, if you'd like a steering wheel set, I have a special edition genuine microsoft forcefeedback wheel and pedal set.. i know it works, it just needs either the software, of some kind of driver. I'm not sure if it'll hook up to the ps/2, though..

You serious? What do you hate? I like it and all, I'm just not in a gaming mood lately. And I've been looking forward to getting this for a long time now. I think it's because I'm finally getting everything lined up to get my Leggy going. I'm very excited about that! :D

I think in-car mode was available in GTA3, or at least Vice City.

Got GT4 today, I transferred creds and bought a STi Spec-C, put some nice STi parts on it and got the HKS stage 5 kit. 480 hp is pretty fun.
The suspension reactions and handling are way beyond GT3, took me a little while to get used to it.

I don't like any of it. I think the graphics are shiity. The music is shitty, the gameplay sucks. IMO, their car selection blows. I hate old cars. I actually get car sick playing the game. It's just blaaaaa. :x
