Im pulling my engine.
Can anyone tell me, do I have to remove the front axles to get at the lower bellhouse bolts? (trans-eng) Just cant get at them to get enough drive on.
haynes manual says just undo them.
Cheers

Although I now ALWAYS remove the driver side axel when pulling the motor. Much easier to get that bolt off and, more importantly, back one and TIGHT.
Reddevil, Awaiting new heart, will it ever happen?

I cant remember what is in the way on the driver (US) side but it makes it hard enough that you cant reach down into that area very easy. And by removing the axel, then you get a "straight" shot at the nut.

I just jack the transmission up a little (not sure if that matters) and I've never had any problem. I may've used a wrench, I don't recall.
