Pricing on AWIC setups
Just curious what typical prices are for the AWIC's and what they typically come with, like pump, radiator, hoses, etc.
thanks

Well Josh
I would say anywhere from $100-150 for the awic unit itself and good luck even getting a partial complete stock unit i.e. pump, hoses & cooler.
What Laurel scored a while back was a rare score indeed. I've checked with sources who regularly travel overseas to purchas jdm stuff and they say it a very hard find.
As far as the Aussies are conserned on the forums you don't hear to much action over there as well. So your just going to have to go the route I am mishmashing the other stuff as close to the specs of the cars overseas.
The biggest problem is locating a cooler that fits and is large enough with the proper in/outlet size for the correct flow rates for pump etc.
and the pumps work with the ecu.

Thanks Jim.
I saw just the intercooler portion on ebay for 200 bucks, and thought that was rather pricey. I had planned to source a different pump and cooler myself, as I'd probably do a little resizing of things.

Around $100-$200 is typical. Closer to $200 is more likely.
Sourcing the other parts is better, the core is the only thing you want from the stock setup.
And a centrifugal pump is the best for performance, sound, and debris handling. I had a line on getting the best you can buy for a good price, but I'd have to find the name of the people again.

Yeah I'd be interested on any pump information you have if you don't mind digging it up.Brat4by4 wrote:Around $100-$200 is typical. Closer to $200 is more likely.

Check out Jabsco - they make good marine pumps of all kinds.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
One thing, Jim . . . Laurel's on the RSLiberty board, and has befriended many of the patrons up there. Aside from the obvious (her charm and the fact that she's got bewbies) she did a good job I think of creating a special demand for the AWIC setup she got, and someone felt like selling.92 Le-Turbo-SS wrote:Well Josh

At least, I THINK that's how it went down. I never get all the details.
