Driver's side rear whirr noise, increases at higher speeds

Post by DeusExMachina »

Its almost so loud on the highway I can't drown it out..I definitely can't drown it out completely. Its a "whirr whirr whirr" noise from the driver's side rear wheel area. I have my ideas but I just want other oppinions for giggles.

It gets louder at higher speeds, isn't really a grinding, just kind of a lot of "road noise". If I had a heavy person sit in the back seat there, when my suspension was blown, it would make a screech-sorta noise on turns. But I've had people back there since I have a new suspension and it doesn't do the screech, but the whirr is still there.

Oppinions?

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me. If it is, and its making a screeching noise, its probably about to fall apart, and you dont want that.

Its not screeching yet. It only did when there was weight on it. Its been alright. When it starts to screech it'll be emergency time, but otherwise I'll replace it in a week.
