Baja to get turbo treatment...

Post by entirelyturbo »

Read it in the Car and Driver 2003 Buyer's Guide. Might get WRX drivetrain...

Now there is no Subaru I wouldn't sign my life away for :o !

Baja though? Id take a Turbo Forester first. Supposedly the same STI engine but detuned. Imagine if you only needed the STI ECU to get 300hp

Both the Forester and the Baja are getting the same engine as the STI. The EJ25T. And all you would need to do is do sme tuning and some minor STI parts and you now have a BAJA or forester STI

Yeah, I was apalled when I couldn't find any reference to the B.R.A.T. when Subaru introduced the Baja. It's kind of annoying that Subaru's marketing group seems to want to move away from Subaru's history, even though that's what made their cars what they are.

I guess they just want to sell to Americans, who see value in an L. L. Bean edition of the Outback but didn't see the value in the dual range 4 wheel drive that the Loyale had.
