when my friend did a 96 wrx swap which is bascily the v2 without the red manifold, the coil pack, maf sensor,map sensor and the boost contorl solenoid were identical to my legacy. i can see how the chasis harness may be a problem but i think it should be able to run the car properly

I haven't sifted through all of this thread yet.

But you guys know that ther eis a 8bit and 16bit ecu?

On non-North American models, yes. All North American Legacy Turbo ECUs are 8-bit. But the North American 8-bit ECUs are completely different from the other 8-bit ECUs. Ours are made by Hitachi; yours are made by JECS.

Good stuff :)

I'm currently playing with JDM 16-bit ecu to run with more fuel, so fingers crossed I can get a half decent tune with larger injectors on factory ecu.

hackish yes i was on that board they are all jelouse pepole on the gtx borad and did not belive me or my legacy turbo could be that fast bunch of monkeys
