V.3 STI ECU swap???????

Can anyone tell me if I can swap an early 90s Legacy/Liberty EJ20J ECU with the more agressive STI V.3 ECU circa 1995. Are the pinouts the same and if so does anyone know of any negative side effects interms of engine performance?

i think the v3 pin outs are on: http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/
and the ej22 pinouts are floating around here everywhere.
