Hey everybody, I've been reading the forums for months now with out saying anything so hopefully i wont ask to many dumb questions, i purchaced a 92 legacy turbo 5 speed a few months ago and so far with the help of this web site i have

timing belt and tensioner
all gaskets replaced
3inch turbo back exhaust
desnorkefied...that thing was huge
top mount saab all aluminum intercooler
re-grounding mod
spark plugs
boost gauge

On the way here as we speak is

MBC
S-AFC
wideband 02 sensor

in the process of putting on my intercooler i broke the nipple off of my coolant tank, so i JB welded it just and capped the line, temporary, i was woundering what my options are for fixing the tank if possible. Also i am going to replace the fuel filter today and im ordering new plug wires,
The dreaded hesitation was horrible in my car untill i replaced plugs and re-ground my car, but it is still present i need some advice, will the fuel filter and wires take car of it?

Have you checked the knock sensor? That could cause some hesitation in the 2k -3k RPM range. . .

Could be the fuel filter or plugs. A lot of guys have fixed hesitation within that rev range by replacing their alternator.

yep, put a meter on it with long leads so you can look at your voltage when you drive. For some reason, the failing alternator goes crazy right at about 2100 rpm, and the voltage spikes up.

Even without the meter you may be able to see the headlights getting brighter right at that RPM. Sometimes you have to drive a couple miles first so the battery is totally charged, then the voltage may spike.

Of course there are many other possibilities, vacuum leaks first among them.

Where are you located, if you don't mind telling us?
What all did you ground with your ground mod? Was it the DIY kit?

i am located in sioux falls south dakota, and yes i did the DIY self mod of grounding, which seemed to help a ton for start up and shut down, doesnt shake as much. also here is my new expansion tank i just order,

it is part number 80-200 and i should only have to add a check valve

oh i grounded my strut towers, alternator, coil pack, and the large one going down by the starter. all with 10 gauge wire, only costed me 3.00 at a farm and fleet store.

$3.00? F'n Aw3some! The DIY kit was my plan for this afternoon, that's why I asked. Thought it was pretty funny that someone mentions doing it the day I planned it. Now it seems like the right thing to do!

I'm searching for it now.. it's in the 'Body Chassis and Interior' section, methinks. it's titled '$15 DIY ground mod', or something to that effect. Either way, it wasn't as cheap as $3, you lucky dog, you.
