Look at the rear passenger side, underneath the chimney that mates with the hood scoop.

The intake goes in one side and comes out the other and the exhaust comes up from underneath it. Looks kind of like a hair dryer or snail shell.

The picture Michael posted of Matt's engine bay doesn't include the chimney that your car probably has. But that's where the turbo is.

Pop your hood. Get on the passenger side. Grab the pipe that curves down and follow it up and forward to the front of your car. Under a black thingy you should feel a big round piece of metal. Wala, turbo.

I wouldn't suggest doing this while the car is hot. But then again...

ok, i took a look, and i think i saw it, although it just looks like a pipe, not raeally a turbo., too much crap in the way.

Go drive the car to get it warmed up. Touch things in the engine bay. The part that burns your hand the most is the turbo. :P

But really, the black plastic thing is probably in the way, so you can't see the turbo shape you're looking for.

hehe... you're confusing him with your modified engine bay photos, I doubt he's got a coffee mug :)

OK - your Legacy has a hood scoop, correct? (if not, you've got an N/A - sorry!) Examine this hood scoop and see where the air it scoops flows to. It's directed to all flow over the "chimney" (which has a nice warning plate on it about heat - as it is the turbo's heat shield) and cool the turbo at higher speeds. So you can imagine that if you were to feel around (while the car's cold) and find the chimney's mounting bolts and removed them, and pulled the chimney off, you'd be looking at the turbo.

Hope this helps.

I have one of those superchargers they sell on ebay for $69.00 and let me tell you that thing flys. I hooked it up to the battery via relay and I also installed a stiffening cap so it spools up really fast.

I'm running 15 pounds of boost.....and a sticker to prove it.

Why even say something like that in this thread? The guy is asking where a part of his car is, and you come in with something hella random that has no relevance for no reason at all? What is the point of that?

So because someone said something that you didn't like in some thread you made you're going to go around trolling other peoples threads? You make no sense. Whatever.
