I'll do a full write up of the brake upgrade tomorrow, unlike that control arm I never got around to..., but had to share my joy beforehand. I got a chance to take it out on a curvy road after it quit raining so the road was still damp but not wet in most places. I definately have improved my wet stopping distance and all 4 will lock with relative ease now and the rears doing so just after the fronts. The nose dive has been reduced and the brakes feel more responsive. There are a few turns that require significant breaking and occur right after the other, not a touch of brake fade was noticed. It'll take a little getting used to and I'm curious to take it on the gravel and see how it changes my weight shifting during braking before turns. I'll be taking it slow in the entries to get used to quicker response and harder braking but I am extremely pleased with my car's braking now. I certainly don't feel the need to upgrade to WRX at all and I get to keep my 15" turbo stockers. Oh yeah, here's a few pics, they are a little big so 56k beware.

I'll get some more pics tomorrow and for the write up. Thanks goes out to Josh for a great deal on a great set of brakes and thanks to those who answered questions for me.

Sweeet! So are those rear turbo calipers wrapped around some pimpin' slotted rotors? Looks very nice.
If you have a BC you should swap in the BF proportioning valve. Then you'll really have nice balance.

Thank you, those are indeed turbo calipers wrapped around some pimpin' cyro'd slotted rotors
. My car is also a sedan but in all honesty I want to feel it out for now and I'm not sure if I'll want move things further back, I've got stock NA fronts.

Yup, they're my old setup, turbo legacy brakes, mintex 1155 pads, bradi rotors that have been slotted & cryo-treated.legacy92ej22t wrote:Sweeet! So are those rear turbo calipers wrapped around some pimpin' slotted rotors? Looks very nice.

Lee,
Glad you like the setup. If you haven't bled all four corners, I'd do that as well. I'd probably recommend leaving the sedan prop valve on there.
Your setup now should give you a pretty balanced setup.

You guys are probably right about the proportioning valve. I wasn't thinking about the smaller N/A fronts. N/A fronts with the turbo rears should be nicely balanced.

Josh,
I completely agree about bleeding all fours. Last night when I was doing the brakes it was raining and I didn't want to leave the resevoir open while it was raining, kinda self defeating
. It's on the list and will happen by the the weekend.
I think I'm going to keep the sedan prop valve too, it's very balanced now and I like having a small safety factor in keeping my backs from locking before the fronts.
