My key fell out.?

My key fell out.?

I started my car today and the key fell right out of the ignition :shock: Then I had a little trouble getting it back in and turning. Then had problem restarting for a few secs and then it worked fine for the rest of the day.. :?

Is the tumbler going or the switch or both.. How much would a used ignition cost?

My car had that problem a while ago. You could just take the key clean out of the ignition while it was running.

Happened to me once while driving too, hit a bump and Clink, onto the floor they went.

Made me lighten up the keychain of a few keys..

Replace the key - it's likely worn out. More likely than the lock being worn out.
