I'm looking at getting 17x7 wheels for my '93 SS. I was looking at some TSW wheels on www.cheapwheels.com, but the style I liked only came in a 35mm offset. That would push the wheels 33mm further out. I think that sounds like to much. They do have a style I like in a 17x7 wheel with a 42mm offset, but that would push the wheel out 26mm. Do you think that 26mm is to much? I'm new to aftermarket wheels, so your input is valuable.
Thank's Matt

I found a wheel offset caculator at http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html . It says that a 17x7.5 wheel with a 48mm offset will move the wheel out 26mm and reduce the clearence between the strut by 12mm.BAC5.2 wrote:I am flush with the fender with a 17x7.5 with a 48mm offset.

So your saying that being flush with the fender hasn't caused you any problems and doesn't look bad. Right? Because if I got a 17x7 with a 42mm offset it wouldn't come out any farther then your 17x7.5 with a 48mm offset. Do you have any pics? Thank's

I guess even a 42mm offset is to much. I don't want any scrubbing at all.azn2nr wrote:42 will sit a little bit outside the wheel well and youll need a 205 tire to keep it from scrubing too much on the fenders. oh and why is this in suspension
I stuck it here becuase I'm an idiot and stuck it in the wrong spot. If a mod could move this to the wheel section that would be great.
